Rather hazy with an unusually full body for a Hell. Only mild carbonation and generally quite gentle. I don’t recall any distinct aroma but very, very drinkable. crossovert (13909) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2011 vom Fass in a Bierprobe. This one is awesome, not much diacetyl but rather a big hoppy note reminiscent of American Helles beers. It isn’t the best in the style, but it is a unique take for a German brewer. jfb (6636) - GERMANY - APR 5, 2011
(draught) pours a clear yellow colour with a frothy white head. surprising aroma of peppery spices with strong herbal-hoppy overtones, almost like a saison, with a light pale malty base. flavour is the same, again quite spicy, with some notes of grain and a light herbal-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation. Did not know I could ask for a sampler but I drank them anyway. It was very nice to drink, refreshing and not so graspy as other lagers. I like the hell style because it’s a little sweet. dwyerpg (6410) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Almost no aroma; cloudy yellow color. This is excellent as well. Crisp hop bite at the start. Smooth finish. Tasty.

Draft @ Brewpub. Pours clear yellow with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is buiscuit, butter and grain. Sweet and watery. Some sweet candy notes. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Draft sample at brewery. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes. Fin (10917) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2010
Cycled into town (Bamberg) from our campsite just outside at Bug 16-06-10 had this on tap at the brewpub Ambrausianum Pours almost lemony in colour but tricky to be certain in the poor light of the pub. Soft in the mouth with vanilla and cream, slight sharpness to the finish, clean nose but not so hoppy. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2 meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2010
Sweet, light bitter, clean, crisp, light soapy. Very pale and hazy. Disappointing, not very flavorful and watery.
