This should be classified as an IIPA. Big big malt and big big hops combine to make an excellent northwest style ipa. Malty and rich in the aroma followed up with a roundhouse kick of PNW hops, piney, grapefruit, fuzzy and citrusy. This beer teeters on being slightly too bitter...but then the malt balance tips the tables back toward balanced. The cracker-like malt is not lost in the dry finish. beerye79 (2) - bonney lake, Washington, USA - SEP 21, 2012 does not count
I grabbed this beer as a "try new" beer... I found it to be one of the best, if.not the best IPA’s I’ve tried thus far. A light flavor with a mild hoppy taste, which leaves you with a mild aftertaste... which you’ll enjoy. DuffMan (10423) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 20, 2012
On tap @ Seahawks stadium. Light orange amber colour, medium off-white head. Aroma is a little stinky wet hair and citrus oil (I think the lines need cleaning). Flavour is thinnish malt (more reed/straw than caramel) and bitter citrus with some light pine. Better than any draft lager here, but not great by PNW IPA standards. Trade from curly - thanks!Reddish copper, thin beige head. Big grapefruit aroma, plus some pine and caramel. Flavor is hop dominated, of course, and a nice caramel base. Very tasty. PorterPounder (7961) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Seattle, Wa - on tap at Safeco Fieldhouse - Mariners-Twins game. Dark amber pour, off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma has some nice spruce accents, a touch of caramel. Flavor is full of bittersweet grapefruit, some nuttiness and a back end of caramel sweetness. Thickish mouthfeel. Pretty solid.

Hazy light amber color. Unpleasant aroma, paper and puke. Average flavor of malt and caramel, with strong bitterness but no fresh qualities.
On tap in Seattle. Nice hop and citrus nose. It’s a cloudy orange yellow. Thin head, lots of lacing. Crisp citrus attack. Nice bite. Dry finish. Yumm saxo (18299) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2012
Tap @ Taphouse Grill, Seattle. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are straw, hops, flowers, caramel notes pine and malt. mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Cloudy amber color.great pungent hoppy aroma. Very complex flavor but overpresent hoppiness that is pleasant. Light pepper with a spicy pine boldness. luttonm (6270) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 18, 2012
22oz Bottle. Deep hazed orange body, chalky head. Honey Mead are on nose with citrus hops. Smooth, cool body that does not punch much. Caramel tinged, sweeter IPA. Very tasty but not exactly what I’m looking for in this style.
