3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
FROM NOTES: August 7, ’12
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a shaker glass.
A: Hop forward, with much citrus, some pine and floral notes, with just a hint of malt sweetness in the background.
A: Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a one-finger, tan head of bubbly foam. Nice retention dissipates into some sudsy lace on the glass.
T: A stronger hop presence than in the nose, but still not a hop bomb with lots of malty sweetness in the flavor.
P: Pretty heavily bodied, hoppy, crisp and bitter.
O: An undistinguished IPA in the plethora of the style
Rating #2087- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 189 - Bottleshare - Clear golden pour - creamy white head. This may be a 2013 bottle as well, judging by overcarb and aroma. Aroma of grass, vegetal, tin. Really creamy, vegetable soup mouthfeel derails the hoppy overtones - a chalky, syrupy mess with little bitterness. Bomber pours a hazy rusty amber with a two finger tan head and light lacing. Smells caramel malt, tastes much the same. Sweetness in the flavor, bitterness in the aftertaste. Very malt forward, this is not your average west coast IPA. chriszfat (84) - Lake stevens, Washington, USA - MAR 9, 2016
From a bomber. Smell is sticky, sweet, malty. Color is golden and clear with little head. Drinks slightly sweet and toffee Carmel finish. Could use more hoppy finish but solid. willisread (3350) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Tap at Watering Hole. Thanks for sharing Eric! Hazy Amber with a small beige head that lingers. Malty nose with biscuit and caramel. Full body with average carbonation. Hides the abv pretty well. Malt forward with with littler any hop character. Not really good....old school IPA that feels outdated. authenticmead (69) - West Coast, Oregon, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Meh. Nothing interesting here. It's a Carmel malt bomb with harsh hop bitterness up front (typical Puget Sound/Washington old way of brewing IPA) and not much late aroma and flavor. There is a subtle touch of hop resin and spice however. Quite dark for an IPA. Comes across as a heavy American Amber (drinks like a 10% rather than 7.2) with some hops; a poor attempt to a GF hop head red? I wish I could get into it but there's no way it's a second Pinter let alone finishing the first pint.

Tap at Grub. Aroma is a little spicy, lots of malt, touch of resin. Taste is nice, fruity, quite bitter, biscuity malt but all about the hops. Sticky, resinous. Nice.

A mild hop aroma comes from this hazish Orange brew with floaties. The taste is sweet but bitter with low carb and a medium body. A smooth finish and an almost English style aftertaste. Bcoble003 (291) - Jblm, Washington, USA - MAY 28, 2015
Out of can and beer rating 250! Not terrible but still a mile stone nothing special in my opinion an IPA tastes like every other!

Berries and caramel. Bitter caramel, apricot, apple, biscuit, pine, weed, hoppy finish. Nice ipa with a rich hop/caramel character. jsnicholas (628) - Woodinville, Washington, USA - MAR 23, 2015
Tap at Sparta’s. : golden with big white head. Don’t remember all the details, but bottom line is the this is drinkable.
