3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours two fingers of tan head on a black body. Looks amazing.
The aroma is rich caramel and roasted malt with hints of chocolate and coffee.
The taste is dry overall, a little roasted malt and coffee. And a lot of bitterness coming through.
The texture is crisper with moderate carbonation.
The taste and texture were a bit of a letdown after the outstanding appearance and smell. Still, an enjoyable stout.
Dry cocoa aroma with strong rye and bread.
Pours black with garnet hues and a big foamy brown head
Bready chocolate flavor with spicy rye in the finish.
Medium full bodied with medium co2, lingering roasty bitterness.
Enjoyable stout. Well balanced an easy to drink. I could have a few of these.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours jet black wit a foamy clinging light brown head and a chocolate and toast aroma. There is a hearty chocolate and roasted malt flavor with a dry finish. bhensonb (15355) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of milky dark chocolate. Med minus body. Flavor is a bit grainy dark malt, not quite smoothly burnt, and something strongly suggesting baking chocolate - which sort of dominates the dry and bitter finish. Lots of flavor for such low ABV.
