On tap at Amerisports Brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with white head. Roasty, coffee, chocolate flavors. The best beer that I tried at Amerisports.
Tapped at amerisports. Dark, nutty and sweet. Dont know what to compare it to. Maybe a little fruit flavor going on too

This beer could have had a more aggressive flavor. It tastes as if there is just enough malt to add color. Hint of sweetness. Tried at the Parkville Brewfest in 2015. cubs (10721) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 11, 2013

Growler courtesy of secret santa. Pours dark brown with a lingering, tan to light brown head. Smells of chocolate, sage, earthy, spicy, some tea. Tastes of caramel, a touch of prunes, raisins, figs, some orangey hints, some chocolatey hints, peppery. Complex mouthfeel. Enjoyable and full bodied; almost doppelbock like. Sampler at the brewpub. Dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste is similar. Pleasant. Thought their lighter beers better. SuzyGreenberg (1604) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 17, 2009
growler - thanks bvc!! cola brown with mild roast, tobacco and chocolate; thin, clean and crisp; dry finish with chocolate and mild roast; not a lot going on, but very solid and drinkable; something quite fresh and tasty about it too after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - AUG 5, 2009
Growler. Thanks, Theisti and BVC! Pours mahogany to black. Dark ruby highlights and a thin grayish filmy rim. Nice big dark roasty smoky and salty nose. Creamy medium body with very pleasant medium carb. Smoky, earthy, slightly salty mid-palate. Long earthy finish. This is a very forward, aggressive dunkel, you might say Americanized, with plenty of carb, flavor, and aroma. Drinks very easily and has copious amounts of flavor for 4.5%. Kind of glad I wasn’t prejudiced by walking into a casino and trying this; it’s much better than I might have been inclined to think in such a setting. theisti (4221) - Kansas, USA - JUL 28, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Pour is ever so slight haze deep brown with a nicely formed 2 inch khaki head. As it warms slightly, gets clear and shiny. Nice in the glass. Aroma was faint initially, though the beer was served crazy cold. As it finally warmed, some nice roast and nuttiness came through. Really clean and fresh. Taste is a perfect mix of malt roastiness and mildly sweet nuttiness. Not terribly complex, but really clean and tasty. Palate is thin to medium, medium carbonation and a clean slightly roasty bitter finish. Nice lingering roastiness. This was super drinkable. Nice surprise on this one.
