On cask, poured with a slightly less than impressive head for an IPA, lacing was actually kinda weak too. The aroma was of pine/resinous flavors and some citrus. Flavor agreed with the aroma (only cascade hops in this?) but also included some malt support, perhaps crystal malts. Mouthfeel was typical for a cask, pretty smooth. deduchar (39) - Rhode Island, USA - JUL 26, 2006
This is a tasty IPA. Nice and refreshing and quite enjobable. It is not as dark as some other IPAs, but good nevertheless. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2006
Half-pint at the brewpub February 19 2006 in the company of Mr. Toto, aka ClarkVV. Poured initially very hazy-oily copper with just a tiny wisp of head, though it clears out somewhat....restrained grapefruit, sort of a dried character, and woody-resinous hints in the very pleasant but typical aroma....fair bit of fruit and acidity at the front and a strange touch of moldiness, fairly strong caramelized malts in the middle, drier, woodier character towards the lightly tart, quick finish....somewhat watery. Clark commented that this wasn’t nearly as good as the time he’d had it before...methinks this keg was just a touch old. Still not bad at all, but I’m pretty much a sucker for Cascade IPAs. Lightly hazed gold IPA with a thin white head. Light malt aroma with floral hops. Very light bodied IPA, with discreet floral hops and citrus, watery and plain. On tap Feb. 10, 2006. GonZoBeeR (3061) - ste-catherine, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2006

Cloudy golden body with off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pine, pineapple. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, pine, some caramel, light pineapple. Light-medium body. Full favor of hops but not overwhelming. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - AUG 21, 2005
Aroma is cascade all right but I’m getting a bit of dish soap and a nice graininess as well.
Taste is just too much grains for my liking, could be why I’m not into single hopped beers.

Cask at brewery. Piney grapefruity citrus hopped aroma in the nose with a slight weird mustiness. Amber-red hazy color with yeloowish light tan head. This is an extremely easy drinking beer...slightly sweet to start, creamy and milky middle. Finishes with nice piney hoppiness and wonderfully balanced. This is very good at lots of things, but not excellent at any. ClarkVV (6879) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 22, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2005 On draught (and I bought and drank a growler too) at the brewery, Feb 2005. Golden-coppery color, quite hazy with a firm white head. Fantastic aroma, even from a regular pint glass. Pure, fresh, juicy, sweet, green hops and a touch of malt in the background. Flavor continues with the green hops aroma, with probably the freshest hops flavor I’ve ever tasted in a beer. Light spice/herbal/grass notes, no overbearing citrus or pine notes. It’s all hops flavor, without all of the obnoxious bitterness. Perhaps I’m a bit biased because I love Cascade hops, but this was just fantastically flavored. A touch dry on the malting, if they could add a bit of sweet toasted/caramel malt, it would be pretty close to perfect, in my book. Medium-full body is another strong point of this beer. The lack of any significantly sweet malt, may detract from the balance a bit, but it keeps the flavor crisp, refreshing and very drinkable. No wateriness, carbonation is minimal, as it should be. A definite must try! mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - FEB 20, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Wow. Orange and hazy in color with a white head. Fresh hops. Raw green cascade hops, not processed. Enjoyable. Wonderful..
