On tap at the brewpub. Wow. Orange and hazy in color with a white head. Fresh hops. Raw green cascade hops, not processed. Enjoyable. Wonderful.. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - FEB 20, 2005
Tap at the brewpub. Come one, come all! This is a must try beer!. And took best of show for my little beer trip, for sure. And I was not even considering having this until I got a taste from Mkobes, who said it was very good. Hazy golden orange, white head. Amazing raw fresh green hop aroma. Green grass. Like I am in a bed of freshly picked (and not dried or processed) hops. Not citrussy at all, or piney. Round and gentle hop aromas here. Aawesome hop flavor and gentle bitterness. Wonderful thing, those fresh picked hops are. The hops take the day. Maybe you can complain about the malt being a little lite, but when you want to showcase fresh hops, this is fine. I love this beer. ClarkVV (6839) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 22, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2005 On draught (and I bought and drank a growler too) at the brewery, Feb 2005. Golden-coppery color, quite hazy with a firm white head. Fantastic aroma, even from a regular pint glass. Pure, fresh, juicy, sweet, green hops and a touch of malt in the background. Flavor continues with the green hops aroma, with probably the freshest hops flavor I’ve ever tasted in a beer. Light spice/herbal/grass notes, no overbearing citrus or pine notes. It’s all hops flavor, without all of the obnoxious bitterness. Perhaps I’m a bit biased because I love Cascade hops, but this was just fantastically flavored. A touch dry on the malting, if they could add a bit of sweet toasted/caramel malt, it would be pretty close to perfect, in my book. Medium-full body is another strong point of this beer. The lack of any significantly sweet malt, may detract from the balance a bit, but it keeps the flavor crisp, refreshing and very drinkable. No wateriness, carbonation is minimal, as it should be. A definite must try! Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 22, 2001
Dry hopped. Super fresh and a joy for hopheads to drink.................... DYCSoccer17 (3706) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 26, 2005
Cask at brewery. Piney grapefruity citrus hopped aroma in the nose with a slight weird mustiness. Amber-red hazy color with yeloowish light tan head. This is an extremely easy drinking beer...slightly sweet to start, creamy and milky middle. Finishes with nice piney hoppiness and wonderfully balanced. This is very good at lots of things, but not excellent at any.

I was pleasantly surprised by the two beers I had at this brewery. Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a medium head and a nice amount of lace. Aroma was slightly sweet and hoppy. Nice rich hoppy flavor with mildly sweet fruit notes, to the bitter, yet hoppy finish. I look forward to going back and trying some others. Great example of west coast IPA. Nice floral/citrusy hop aroma and flavor. Not too bitter, a good introduction to IPA for a non-hophead

This is a tasty IPA. Nice and refreshing and quite enjobable. It is not as dark as some other IPAs, but good nevertheless. rodenbach99 (4572) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 6, 2010
Sampled in a beer fest in chambly, another good example of the art of amherst brewing after the stout, this IPA was very good, nice cascade aroma and flavour, light in colour, the bitterness was present. This is a good example of an american IPA. dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 24, 2003
