Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks Max & Stas. 11%. Deep amber-brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, wood, vanilla, dark fruits, oxidation, sherry, alcohol. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruitiness, wood, oxidation, alcohol. Medium-bodied. Kinda OK, but too alcoholic.

Light brown full lasting head. Brown colour. Aroma is malty, fruity (dates and prunes) with wood and cane sugar notes. Flavor is malty too with dark fruits and wood tones, ending in a moderately fruity finish. Full bodied

Wrong beer, with no head, strange aspect and no hint of a barleywine character. Extremely watery (?) and unstructured. I even wondered if it was spoiled. If you see it, run away!!!

330ml bottle. 15-01-2015.
Shared with Andrs Lpulo.
In short: average barley wine.
Pours dark copper with little off white head. Malty, caramel, raisins nose. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste follows the nose, quite malty, sweet, liquor, strong warm alcohol finish. Enjoyable.
