3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draght at brewery. Pours thick fluffy cloud-like head on top of a hazy copper/orange colored beer (the haze knocks down the score of the appearance). Has an intense fresh hop aroma, definitely NW. Centennial or Cascade like. Slight citrus, very...hmmm...green smelling if you can use that. Smells of chlorophyll, like herbs and grass. Not bad, just interesting. Followed by a nice sweet toasted malt aroma. Aroma is intense and lasts the whole beer, but there is something I am not quite sure I like. First taste is smooth, hops, hops, and more hops. But not over bitter. Just pure American hop flavor (America F**K Yeah!) Very herbal (clover, green grass, a little pine). Nice round malt flavor, sweet not cloying, toasted, caramel, and hops all the way through. Carbonation was nice and light, body was perfect. Filled every void in my mouth, with out being rude. Finishes with citrus hops and me wanting more. Nice beer from a good brewery.
I’ll take another Desolation please!
Draft - Light caramel and citrus. Clear copper gold with a rich white head. Fruity with a very light finish. Mellow. fiery1 (1753) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
Draught @ the brewery. Pours a clear copper caramel colour with a creamy beige head. Nose is mild. Flavour is caramel malt and a nice hoppy bitterness that’s not over bearing. douglas88 (9690) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 10, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Interesting brew. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big nose of citrus and fresh bananas. Hmm. The flavor is toast, caramel, big green hops, medium to big bitterness in the finish. Nice. Travlr (26231) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 9, 2013

January 2012. On tap at the Thirsty Lion. Amber orange color with a nice floral aroma. Medium body, caramel, hop and floral flavors. Not bad. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Cloudy red amber. Light nose; a little soapy. Medium-full palate is a little candied-brown sugar and candied fruit flavors overtake a light hoppiness. Sticky, malty finish. Not really true to style, this beer is unbalanced and too sweet to drink very much of altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - APR 14, 2013
On tap at Amnesia. Nice amber body with slight head. Nose is malts, but also plenty of hops and citrus in there. Taste starts malts and caramel, then gets more hoppier, pine and citrus. Bitter in the finish. maekchu (4069) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 9, 2013
Draught at Amnesia Brewing. From notes. Tasted in tandem wth the Copacetic IPA. This one has a drier finish & mid-palate than Copacetic, Mid-palate a bit weak. Hop bitterness rises on finish. Has Chinook for bittering and Crystal for finishing, and is dry hopped with both. baraciisch (3398) - California, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Amber in color, aroma is fairly malty with sugary notes... Flavor is very malty and caramel up front, decent notes of spicy hops on the palate, however really malty for a west coast ipa..
