At GBBF 2011. Black beer with tight tan head looks in great condition. Ok some choc but quite a lot of hop too. Pretty intense in the mouth. Quite a tasty beer. Very good condition. Lovely smooth dark choc flavours. Really good stuff. EdKing (2586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2011
GBBF 2011. Cask. Black with a thin brown head. Nose is deep rich coffee and chocolate. Taste matches the nose - rich and sweet chocolate and coffee. Some fruity hops in there too but still on the sweet side and nicely balanced. Quite light bodied in mouth and finish is coffee and some dryness on the tongue. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 15, 2011

Rich coffee-cake aroma. Black, tan ring. Rich body, a touch burnt and oily, some sharpness too. Coffee and chocolate cake retronasals and finish. Good balance. Some gentle hops sharpen things up nicely.
Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours brown with a moderate head. Decent roasted malt aroma, hints of coffee. Good and balanced flavor. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Subtle, earthy bitterness on the finish, rich bread, a bit of roast and dark sugar. Good beer. 3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2005
Dark brown/black color, only a small amount of light at the bottom of the glass. Big creamy brown head. Nice, robust chocolate malty and dry flavor, a little bitter and pasty on the tongue and in the finish. Good flavor overall... seems thick and robust, smoky and roasty. joergen (28140) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2011
