Golden body with a white soapy head that’s not bad at all. Very grainy, but agreeably also a slight classic hop aroma. Very moderate. Drinks very easy, light sweet overall. Of course similar to the Amstel pils, but a bit sweeter. As I understand this is only at 4% so it gets taxed less, not because of taste or something. If anything I prefer this over the normal version; although that doesn’t say much. (33cl bottle)
Can 50cl. from an Albert Heijn supermarket, poured into a lager glass. Clear pale golden, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing; aroma sweet malt, grain, corn, hay; taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, metallic; bit more bitter in the aftertaste, light peppery note, some cardboard; light body, watery texture, average carbonation; easy to drink. sjogro (3926) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2017
Shared from can from Spar in train from Leiden to Den Haag after Leiden Winterbier festival. Massive thanks to Maakun. Clear pale golden and white head. Sweet mlts, metallic notes, light sweet and bitter. Under medium body. Watery aroma and feel. Low carbonation. Maakun (5374) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2017
Can from Spar, shared in the train. Clear light golden with big white head. Some light sweet pils malts, light paper and old wood, hint of grassy hops, light dust and cardboard. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with slick feel. ThirstyBird (2914) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2017
OK, Large green bottle pours a golden yellow with a small off-white head. The smell is corn, damp cardboard. The taste is as it smells without anything positive to add. Carbonation is a bit course with a light body. I bought this beer to go with chili for dinner, I’m afraid it’s not even up to that task. :( zacgillbanks (5123) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2016
