A nice, brown beer with a firm layer of brown foam. The aroma contains some smokiness, with a touch of caramel in the distance. The smokiness remains in the taste, which fills the mouth with a nice bitterness. This moves on into a nice aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2017 Ok Bock, but a little less sweet then what I prefer in a Bock. Some sweetness, but the hop is a bit too much for my taste

Bottle pours clear ruby dark-brown, woth a beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, sweet, vanilla, caramel/toffee, banana; quite nice. Taste is light to medium bitter, medium sweet, some licorice, with small bitter aftertaste. Actually quite a nice bock beer, especially for a commercial brewery,

fantastic variant from the amstel brewery. another fav of mine for the cold terraces of amsterdam - a nice deep red bock! not as "black" as i would have expected whilst going in clueless, but i was surprised by this brew. nice balanced bit of hoppiness to meet the sweetness.
