Unpretentious refreshing and drinkable. Grainy with a foamy head, wheat-citrusy flavours are there but aren’t too intense. Nothing spectacular, but a fairly solid wheat beer that’ll do it if you are in the mood for one.

on tap at the Amsterdam Brewery. pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is hoppy with distinct wheat aroma. fairly bitter dry and bland. Did not enjoy.

355 ml bottle (funky!) from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. 23OC11.

App.: Slightly hazy golden with a decent rocky white head. Aroma: Toasted wheat/grain/cereal, minerals, faint esters/fruity notes, a little raw wheat, vague hints of brightness, above average for a “wheat ale”. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: A little biscuit, toasted wheat/grain/cereal, minerals, a slight citric note, fairly clean; dry with barely any bitterness and a clean, slightly malty finish.

Competes with other “posh”, urban, condo owner beers.

This wheat beer poured a cloudy, light yellow colour with a nice, big, bright white head. To the nose there are scents of skunk and eggs. Obviously off. The green bottle probably didn’t help. Other scents include milk, spice, bread and a little glue? First sip was smooth and a little watery with flavours of light bitter hops, a little spice and bread. Finish has a medium hops flavour and a slight bitterness. Palate is bitter with hops til the end.

Draught or bottle (I didn’t note it) at Golden Tap Awards 2011, beerbistro. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma is mild, grainy and a bit sweet along with some fruit -- pretty dull. Flavour of grain and wheat, watery and a bit tart, and with some fruit. Average bodied. I didn’t much care for this, it’s not for me.

On tap at random restaurant in Toronto.
Appearance : Pale hazy yellow with small head.
Aroma : Grain and light honey. Light wheat. No lacing.
Taste : Wheat and grain with notes of honey and corn. Other cheap beer compounds. Finish light wheat and light citrusy notes. Some corn too.
Overall : Nothing really interesting. Correct wheat flavours, quite drinkable and rather refreshing.

Tap at the Cadillac Lounge. Very pale yellow colour with a very tight creamy white head. The aroma is lightly hoppy with a distinct herbal hop aroma. A touch of floral character and some distinct wheatiness. Fairly full bodied with a nice, creamy mouthfeel. A pretty thirst-quenching light wheat ale. Just a touch of citrus and a very light bitterness. It’s not really my style, but technically it hits the right notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

6er bought at the brewery. Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma of wheat, and butter. Flavor os dominated by heavy malted wheat, and butter. Thick mouthfeel, and even more butter. Good god this was bad.

[3784-20110624] Tap. Old wet dough yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head. More dusty dough yeast in the flavour with a lingering aftertaste. Light-medium body. Average. (6/3+/6/3/11) 2.9
