Stunningly attractive beer. Dark amber body with lasting foamy off white head and nice lacing. Perfect. Aroma is hoppy, I agree with cards04 about watermelon, maybe also cucumber, citrus. Not super bitter but nice citrus taste. Lively palate, lasting taste. Abv well masked. Overall quite a great ipa, as long as you’re not expecting crazy bitterness.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 a decent ipa. pours a murky dark orange with white head. aromass of soap, deteregent, and pine needles. Flavours are watermelon at first - then a bitter soapy hop finish. pretty good stuff.

Can. Malt and hops on the nose, some light vegetable notes. Fairly malty flavour, hops are light. Some vegetable getting through here too. Not bad, but definitely not my favourite DIPA.

yrstruly (333) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 7, 2014
Can. Pours light amber with a fine textured tan head which forms peaks. Aroma is dominated by pungent, spicy-citrusy hops, with some fruity notes, slight pine, a bit of caramel and toast. Really nice. Taste is malty and bready up front, medium body, some hop flavour, and smooth bitterness in the finish.

piscator34 (2529) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 7, 2014
Canned sample. Hazy copper in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefruit, pine sap, spruce needles, lemon, and a bit of caramel. Pink grapefruit, conifer, and heavy pale malts in the mouth. Balanced and not overly caramel-sweet on the palate, with a good amount of bitterness, but a surprisingly heavy body. Very much in the classic American IPA style. Solid overall.

Alpha10 (756) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 5, 2014
2014/02/05 - Pours a clear, orange-amber colour with a frothy, off edited head that lingers and laces nicely. Aroma is floral hops, tropical fruits, citrus, pine and toffee. Taste is pine, citrus, toffee and toasted malt. Nice balance between sweet and bitter. Aftertaste is toasted malts and astringent citrus/pine. Mouthfeel is slightly oily with lively carbonation and a crisp, bitter and drying finish. A descent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2015 12oz bottle in a plastic hotel cup. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, light hops, and dough. Not sure about the freshness of this bottle, but the flavor isn’t great. Average texture. More of an amber ale than an IPA. EDIT: Tried at the brewery and it was much better fresh. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma strong of the piney and citrusy and resinous hops. Maybe a little too bitter, but still pretty goo.d

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 29, 2014
473 mL can from LCBO served cold in a tulip glass. Cloudy bright amber with a full tan head. Quite resinous and dank, lots of pine, green and leafy, a touch peppery, some peach and apricot notes, caramel and toffee support as it warms, nice. Medium+ body with prickly carbonation. Quite resinous, dank, pine, peach and apricot, a bit peppery, caramel and deep toffee support, serious and stern; dry with pretty good bitterness and a caramel and toffee and resin finish.

ILduce (283) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2014
Can LCBO. golden amber with a nice white head and lace. Caramel malts and pine with fruit nectar. Bitter and sweet with some floral/grassy character. Mouthfeel is sticky and rough. Very good, but also very heavy.

worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2014
Deep amber copper with a white, lacy, lasting frothy head. Smells of pine, tropical fruit, grapefruit firn tree, caramel. Nice hops. Sour taste right off the back with a caramel centre and a dry bitter pine finish. Sharp hop finish.
