Deep, red colour. Pours with a soapy head. Pretty carbonated and tastes more of the tartness of raspberries than actual raspberries. This is from the 2007 batch in clear bottles.

Comes in a nice ceramic bottle with swing-top. Pours a thick fizzy head and goes away fairly quick. Just leaves a thin coat. Has a light burgundy colour, deep amber appearance. Weak lacing though. Pretty strong raspberry aroma, light roasted malts, wheats and spices. Nice bitter raspberry flavour, mild coffee, yeast, wheaty malts and very light chocolate hints. Slightly sour but not offensive and actually more sweet and tarty. Average carbonation. Warming sensation. Drying mouthfeel. Very nice presentation with bottle and appearance. Easy to drink and not too over the top with raspberries but just a tad too pricey.

Pours a beautiful ruby red with a frothy and lacey white head. Aroma of fresh raspberries, light sweetness with some tartness as well. Taste is fresh raspberries with a light bit of sweetness but balanced really well with a medium body and a drying tartness on the finish... Great fruit beer!

Now that’s a fancy bottle. Got it from LCBO. It pours a rather dark maple syrupy brownish red with a fast receding tan head. Seems clear. The nose is pretty nice: obviously some very nice raspberries or rather raspberry jam, but not much else. Taste is more wheaty / grainy, with the raspberry present, but it’s a kind of dried or jammy kind of raspberry. Modestly sweet with faint sourness. The mouthfeel is dry and carbonation inactive. In the end it appears as a bit thin, with the 6.5% warming the mouth. Not bad, but its fancy design has no success in hiding the beer’s mediocrity.

Tap, Amsterdam brew house, Toronto, Canada. Medium amber with pink. Bright fruit hop aroma. Jam in the background. Nice flavour sharp with strong berry. Long jammy finish.

Pours a clear maroon. Aromas are raspberry jam. Very nice. Flavours fall flat. A bit sweet...not a lot of tartness...almost no raspberry in the flavour. Disappointing. Beautiful bottle and artwork.

Bottle shared with cards04. vibrant sweet raspberry aroma. Dark red body white head some lacing. Faintly sweet raspberry taste. Nice but not as tart or sweet as I was hoping for

Bottle. Deep, clear ruby read pour with a dense, pinkish beige head. Aroma is like a fresh bowl of raspberries, hint of creaminess. Flavour is raspberries, a bit of wheat, malty like an amber ale but nicely suited to the raspberry. A really nicely done fruit beer.

Bad lager/ale smell with raspberry jam smell. Same taste with a burn/bite and it’s only 6.5%. Not that great.

Sekemoto (20) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2015
Pours a clear dark ruby with a large diminishing frothy pink head. Pink head?! That’s a first for me. Nice aroma of caramel malt and raspberries. Flavour is the same as the aroma but is a tad too sweet for me, but that’s a personal preference as this beer is very well made and enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2015 Ruby-red body with a very thin fizzy head, pink. Real authentic rasberry aroma, Really minimal hop presense and soft carb. Sessionable for sure.Would be a great dessert beer.
