December 5, 2014 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Hazy gold, solid creamy off-white head, nice lacing. Funky/floral and fruity but not sweet aroma - a weird acidic bitterness I quite like. Taste has some real tartness - Belgian IPA style - very fruity but I am seriously digging this one. Solid body and carbonation, a bit acidic - finishes quickly, leaves the urge to drink more.

Pour on tap at the brewery, described as saison aged in white wine barrels, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of oak, bread, biscuit, funk, some wine notes, touch of white fruit, slight tart fruit, some spice. Taste was a nice mix of funk, bread, oak, lemon, and white grape, slight white fruit, finishing fairly dry, slightly tart. Nice.

On tap at Amsterdam. Lacking in appearance, but lovely otherwise. Lots of citrus, and the Brett is not overwhelming.

neongolden (1794) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2016
(On tap @ Bar Hop Brewco, Jan 6 2016) Pours very hazy pale gold with a dense white head and lace. Aroma is yeasty, funky and rather fruity. Lots of white grape, citrus peels, pear, dry earthy sort of funk with a little vegetation, grass and hay. White bread malt and yeast combo. Flavour fruity and lightly tart/sweet at first, transitions to bone dry and lightly bitter. Lots of white grape up front again, some green apple skin and lemon zest. Middle to end is nearly pure dusty, lightly funky yeast with slight sulphurous funk, wet stone minerality, chalky even. Just a bit of vinous white grape hangs on until the finish. Medium bodied, high but fine carb. Lots of white wine barrel in here, did not know it was aged in one until after but it’s no surprise. Another good farmhouse from Amsterdam.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 9, 2015
Draught at the Brewhouse. Murky orange-golden with a thin white rim. Crisp citrus, slightly metallic, tangerines, a touch funky and spicy, fairly strong white wine character, light sulphur and something like dill pickle. Medium+ body, fine but sparse carbonation. Lots of white wine, it overshadows the nice fermentation notes of fruit and spice, blood oranges, a little peppery, that dill note, not bad; off-dry with moderate bitterness and a wine wine and quite fruity finish. The base is nice and is buried beneath the wine barrel...a shame.

On tap at BarHop. Warm deep golden yellow with fluffy white head. Strangely floral soapy aroma. Really weird. Tastes much better than it smells. Touch of Brett funk, straw and lemon flavours. Not bad.

En fût au brewhouse. Vieillie en fût de vin blanc. Blonde/blanche trouble sans collet. Très levuré (Brett/Lacto). Citronné. Belle acidité. Boisé. Belle amertume. Finale sèche et épicé. Très bien.

Spab (4006) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2015
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a murky but bright golden yellow with average-sized white head. Aroma is lemon zest, lemon juice, other tree fruit, Brett and light pepper. Flavour also has some nice Brett funkiness, lots of lemon character, some other juicy tree fruits, a little dough and light spiciness. Fine carbonation. Quite nice.

Pale straw colored pour with a huge white head. The aroma is really light and zesty. Tropical fruit and some lean noble hopping. Lean crackery malt and a zesty finish. Bright and peppery. Zippy with a slight citrusy note. Assertive firm bitterness. Slightly minerally. Damn - another awesome farmhouse ale from Amsterdam.
