Orange coloured. Yeasty, strange sharp malt flavour. No - this is quite the opposite of the soft, creamy flavors I like in an Oktoberfest. VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 25, 2001
Light orange. Yeasty dregs. Thin but tight head. Aroma of toasted malts and light skunk. Invasive first sip. Metallic twang to the lightly malted body. Crisp and clean. My teeth fillings were aching when I finished. Axle3380 (95) - montvale, New Jersey, USA - NOV 17, 2001
I enjoyed drinking this one, but but maybe you should spice it up a little Oakes (17664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 20, 2001
Perhaps no beer better exemplifies Amsterdam’s lack of flair than this one. The potential is there in the subtle malt flavours for this to be a standout, but it just never quite gets there. Maybe some more hops, or a more complex yeast strain would help.
