deepeary (405) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 11, 2015
2013 vintage. Nose is deep dark roasted malt and dark fruit, currants, raisins, molasses, cherries. Taste is sweet, lots of dark fruit, some cocoa, roasted malt. Thick mouthfeel. A nice sipper that held up well since 2013.

Bottle (thanks to cards04). Maple syrup, chocolate malt, and wood ash aroma. Black with small light brown head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal hay/wood ash flavor. Body on the light side.

vadie (1256) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 27, 2015

Thanks to cards04 for this. Very deep brown with just a thin wisp of tan foam. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Flavor is roasted grains, espresso, and blackened toast. Finish is bitter with charred wood and only a slight chocolate sweetness.

BOTTLE 50CL from bunget. Pitch black, espresso head. Strong coffee and chocolate in the nose, roasty, a touch of alcohol. Tastes roasty, coffee, acrid black malts, zesty spicy bitterness and some ashes. Correct and classic.

HippyHop (656) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2015
Pour is motor oil with a thin espresso cap that hangs around and leaves some nice lacing. Nose is chocolate/molasses/toast/coffee - nice and promising. Taste is....a bit of a let down. There seems to be a watery patch in the middle, despite the 9% ABV and full-ish body. Texture is slick/creamy, with nice lingering bitterness on the finish. Tasty, but lacking a certain punch for my liking.
