On tap @ Amundsen May 2014. Unclear orange body with a medium sized, lacing off-white head. Nice citric fruity aroma with some caramel malt. Flavor has citric fruit, caramel malt and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Totally OK, but nothing stands out from any other decent IPA. Pours slightly hazy copper/amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, orange and hint of pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long orange and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. Some curtains. The aroma has peaches dominating, with some pine cones and light caramel malts. Caramel malts in the back, with resins, pine cones and peaches. Quite low on bitterness all the way. Medium body and soft carbonation. Short fruity-sweet finish with some bitterness. A messy one, lacking big time on balance and moreishness. 140502 Splitenz (370) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 2, 2014
Nydal Ipa (New Valley) is named after Amundsen Brewpubs new brewery pub up in north Oslo (Nydalen). It is a strong flavored IPA with all the right hops and malts making it a good start to any visit to either Amundsen og Nydalen.

7/3/14 Cask at the brewpub. Clear ruddy ale with a thin transient head. Aroma of stunt meadow, hay like element. Taste malty mild sweetness, surprisingly for an IPA not so much of the hops, minimal bitterness. Arve_Christian (5144) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 12, 2014
