Lovely beer; a dark beer even my wife liked. Great mix of Belgian and wheat beer aromas; spices, oranges, and dark fruits. It pours dark brown with pleasantly gentle carbonation. Not greatly hopped, so expect a sweet beer at 9%. Taste is of dried fruits, mixed spice and Christmas cake. Very drinkable, and a proper winter beer! tarjei (1954) - Bryne, NORWAY - SEP 19, 2011
Tap at Amundsen, Oslo. Dark brown color, with a lovely beige head. Aroma is lots of coriander and orange. Orange, dark dried fruit and spices in the flavor, fine sweetness, some bitterness in the finish. Extremely smooth and creamy in the mouth. You can feel the warmth from alchol. alvaro78 (585) - Sevilla, SPAIN - MAR 8, 2016

On tap at Amundsen. Dark copper toned colour with a medium big creamy head. Aroma is sweet and laden with notes of belgian yeast, toffee, bananas and brown sugar. Flavour is rich and the belgian yeast really comes out. Notes of toffee, bananas, and sugar as well. The alcohol is also prominant, but in a good way and not dominating. Aftertaste is a bit short. This is pure dessert and I pray that Nøgne Ø decides to brew this regularly. RuneStumo (2696) - Haugesund, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2011

From tap @ Grünerløkka Mat & Mikroølfestival. Opaque dark brown with ruby edges. Low beige cream head. A nice blend of fruits and soft dark malts in the aroma. Also a discreet whiff of coriander. Big and smooth malt body, nicly balanced by fruits, dark malts and a mild bitterness. Mild spices in the ending. No disturbing alcohol. A lovely beer. Palme (4816) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2011
On tap @ Amundsen, Oslo. Pours a clear deep deep red body with a great looking creamy and lasting beige head lacing down the glass. Aroma is really fruity, fruit-yeasty like almost all the beers I’ve had from Amundsen. Notes of dried fruits, strawberries, bubblegum and sweet banana. Average carbonation, quite full-bodied and it has a thick, creamy and chewy mouthfeel - just the way I like it. Flavors are really smooth, quite fruity - like in dried fruits - and lightly sweet. The heat from the alcohol is burning quite clearly at first, but the after a while it’s just calming and warming. Not bad! daje (4436) - NORWAY - JUL 4, 2012

A dark brown beer with agood beige head.
Fruity aroma wit wheat and coriander, taste of fruits, yeast and spices, refreshing although the alcohol is very noticable. Finishes in a bitter way with yeast notes sticking agent_511 (157) - - JUN 15, 2013
Pretty good beer. My bottle is slightly oxidized. Tastes of coriander, raisins, plums, and candy sugar. Sweet upfront, slightly bitter in the finish. Aroma of coriander, raisins, caramel, and butterscotch. Rune (13348) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2011 Taster, draught at the brewpub. Nice lacing, short-lived beige head. Dark brown body with a red tint and a wheat haze. Ripe banana and dark malts to the nose. Dried fruity taste, sweet and bitter in fine harmony, notes of caramel and liquorice. Nice dark bitter ending. Full bodied, well made brew (Oslo, 26.09.2011).
