Lovely beer; a dark beer even my wife liked. Great mix of Belgian and wheat beer aromas; spices, oranges, and dark fruits. It pours dark brown with pleasantly gentle carbonation. Not greatly hopped, so expect a sweet beer at 9%. Taste is of dried fruits, mixed spice and Christmas cake. Very drinkable, and a proper winter beer! agent_511 (157) - - JUN 15, 2013
Pretty good beer. My bottle is slightly oxidized. Tastes of coriander, raisins, plums, and candy sugar. Sweet upfront, slightly bitter in the finish. Aroma of coriander, raisins, caramel, and butterscotch. Ron (3962) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Bottle from BOTW. Dark brown color, with a beige head. Some coriander and orange in the aroma. Orange, sweetness and dark dried fruit and spices in the flavor. Some bitterness in the finish. Extremely smooth and creamy in the mouth. Alcohol not noticeable in the flavor, but you feel it. Enjoyable. daje (4436) - NORWAY - JUL 4, 2012

A dark brown beer with agood beige head.
Fruity aroma wit wheat and coriander, taste of fruits, yeast and spices, refreshing although the alcohol is very noticable. Finishes in a bitter way with yeast notes sticking

On tap at Amundsen. A dense , finger thick beige head sits on top of a clear copper colored body. The aroma hasa solid dose of coriander, with some caramel maltyness. Smooth, but a bit thin on the palate, some warmth. Coriander, lime, maltyness and some caramel in the flavor. Decent bitterness in the finish. Well, quite decent, but a bit bland compared to the original. 111014 Cunningham (7986) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 5, 2012
Hazy brown colour with an off white head. Sweet nose. Hard to make up my mind about this. We agreed that it tasted bubblegum and alcohol. Light fruity and some caramelmalt.gunnfryd (14895) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2012

On tap @ Amundsen 2011.11.14 Dark reddish amber body with a small tan head and big bubbles. Aroma of wheat, spices, soap and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, fruity, bitter and alcohol. There is definitively a lot of things going on here, not so easy to define. It’s an interesting beer, less fruity and coriander than the previous Nøgne Ø version. That version tasted a lot more balanced after about one year’s storage. We will probably never know what some storage might do to this version. RuneStumo (2687) - Haugesund, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2011
amundsen/Nøgne Ø Imperial dunkel wit. On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown offwhite head. lots of malt sweetness. strong with rather rich body. Wheaty. Notes of lemon and coriander. Very good and powerful wit!
