COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crisp and fresh, Blonde Star is light in body but certainly not in flavour. Brim full of lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit and pale malt. Refreshing and satisfying, this was our first beer and itís still our biggest seller. Available in cask and bottle.

500ml bottle. Light straw colour with a small head. Very mild aroma with not much in it. Flavours of honey, citrus, perhaps a little apple, but all these are pretty mild. Doesnít blow you away to begin but then the hops kick in and they give a robust and satisfyingly bitter satisfying finish. Low to moderate carbonation, pretty smooth. A good session pale ale, I think.

Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, a hint of passionfruit, some cereal malts and subtle vegetle, grassy hops. Taste of lemon, some grapefruit, slight passionfruit, cereal malts and subtle spicy, grassy hops. Light bodied and soft soft carbonation. A soft, dry, spicy hop bitterness in the finish. An ok golden ale, some citrus, fruit and a nice, light bitterness to end. Boring from this brewery but Iím guessing itís their standard golden ale.

Bottle, April 2016. Solid grass and pine nose dabbed with honey. Murky gold with a dense lacing foam. Honeycomb front overtaken by mellow grass and lemon shavings. Soft condition and finish. Herbal, honey-thick lager. Not bad.

Blonde Star z browaru Anarchy Brew z pięknym efektem kaskadowym spowodowanym nalewaniem piwa pompą ciśnieniową jest troszkę mniej ciekawe, znacznie bardziej wodniste, mniej słodowe i lekko melonowe. Dało się wypić.

Tap @ White Horse on Parons Green, small sample. Clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of tropical fruit, bit white wine even. Soft bitter in taste. Decent.

1,000th Rating: I had been considering rating something weird or rare, strange or desirable for this momentous occasion. Iíve gone for this modest, self effacing relatively local Golden Ale because itís been the drink of choice when we have gathered at The Black Horse, Gateshead to watch Euro 2016 matches. They keep the beer in excellent condition, and this pint comes in a glass cool enough to sustain condensation. Hazy pale yellow, with a dense white mousse.. Looks appetizing. Straw, biscuit and grapefruit aroma. More citrus in the flavour, sharpness nicely contrasted by juicy tropicals - mango/ papaya? Biscuity malts, nice dry finish. Iíve had three of the top 50 Golden ales, and this can hold its head up in that company.
