Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A very dark brown beer with a thin white head. It has chocolate and smoked beechwood flavours, vanilla and bitter roasted notes on the slight watery finish. Good for the low ABV.

September 23, 2015 - at Euston Tap - cask (?). Slightly hazy light amber-gold with a decent lasting off-white head. Aroma of smoke, nutty chocolate and fruit esters. Taste folllows, with chocolate/nougat tucked in behind the hardwood smoke. Light, a bit still, with emerging smokey bitterness to dominate in the aftertaste.

Perfect clarity great beechy rauchmalz nose, good attenuation, unmistakable Saison esters with another good waft of smoke to finish. Very decent.

Grzesiek79 (4481) - Radom, POLAND - AUG 12, 2016
Bottle from Beers of Europe. To piwo ma naprawde spore podobienstwo do wedzonki z Bamberga. Zapach czarnej herbaty, lekkie nuty wedzone. W smaku dosc sporo karmelu i wedzonki, typowej dla Rauchbier. Piana niewielka jasna herbaciana barwa, piwo klarowne. Delikatne i nisko alkoholowe ale mimo delikatnosci i pijalnosci tego piwa mamy sporo wedzonego smaku. No i buntownicza etykieta. Niech zyje Craft.

1/2 Pint on tap @ Barcelona Beer Festival. Dark amber colour with medium white head. Both aroma and taste are smoke, liquorice and fruits. The aftertaste is pretty much like bacon, and there’s some bitterness as well. Medium body, perfect carbonation. Nice smoked beer.
