COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve taken our Belgian farmhouse ale and given it a smoked twist. A subtle smokey aroma serves up layers of fruit and spice.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 8th May 2016. Hazy gold with thin off-white film and spot lacing. Intensely smoky aroma with sweetish malts. Sharply smoky in-mouth; fine smoke in the finish evolves into bitterness. Intense flavour for such a low strength. Light mouthfeel and body.

330mml bottle. Immediately hit by a strong smokey flavour that seems to obscure all other flavour to me. Not one for my palate, resembling char’ed coal from a BBQ.

zacgillbanks (5661) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2017
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy pale golden coloured with a thin white head of foam. It has a very strong smoked beechwood flavour with toffee, malt and oak notes followed by a smooth bitter-sweet and smoked finish. Excellent especially for the low ABV.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden, nose is smoked bacon, herbal, light spices, taste is sweet toffee, citrus, dry and smoky finish.

Bottle from the smoke house in Craster. Pours amber with a thin off white head. Aroma of ha and light smoke. The taste is bitter with citrus and hay and a lightly smokey finish. A little plastc in there too, but pretty decent, especially for the strength.

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought at Bierhuis in Ossett. Enjoyable smokey season style beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very slightly hazy yellow color, dense white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of burnt straw. Taste is burnt meat, very light body. Would be a much better beer with more body.

ManVsBeer (11190) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2016
Skipton Beer Festival 2016. Yellow-blonde, with a good smokiness that has a fairly full bacon flavour, although light tasting as you might expect.

Leighton (22820) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2016
Cask at CBC CG - London. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Strong dry smoked pale malts in the nose, with accents of lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with more robust smoke character, a sturdy hit of bitter grass, husky grains, faint peaty rubber, earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more punchy, dry smoke character, a bit of dried out ham slices, more bitter grass, straw. I don’t think this one has the sweetness needed to balance out the bitterness and smokiness. Overall just OK.
