COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A quaffable, well-balanced red ale with character. Its malty complexity and coppery color come from a combination of two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.

Bottle 0.355l. Lightly hazy amber body, medium yellowish head. Aroma of honey, cherries, berries, fruit stones, caramel, peaches and probably maple syrup. Taste is heavy bitter and very sweet. Caramel, toasted malts, berries, leaves, cherries. Medium to full body, high carbonation, slicky texture, long bitter aftertaste.
Great! Good choice for early autumn afternoon.

Bontus (800) - Flanders, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2016
Bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours dark amber, brown with a dense beige head. I like it and the bottle art too. Nose of cara malts and candy. Aroma is caramel and toast, lots of retronasal action. Taste is a roasted bitterness, more than I would expect from its color. Lively palate, finish is dry bitter. Hops contribute but are not in the foreground. Medium heavy body. Fits the season!

(Orange and lemon?) hops on nose; all about the sweetness and the caramel malt; not badly balanced though; thicker and better consistency – but perhaps little too sweet compared to – the Meantime Yakima Red I had earlier today.
