Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Meester Frog. Hazy gold - amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Fluffy malts, mild cream and a touch of grain. Floral mid. Ripe citrus and mild spice on the back end before a smooth dry finish. Fine.
July 2017 - Bottle share at Mr Tipple 5K, Canary Wharf. Many thanks to Mr Frog. As 'Anchor Dry-Hopped Steam Beer'. Translucent orange, still, foamy creamy light brown head. Aroma is biscuity, quite a lot of Horlicks and malt extract. Body is smooth with soft to tingly carbonation. Taste has more of the same – Horlicks, pale biscuits, malted milk biscuits, straw with a light hop astringency. I really like Horlicks so I enjoyed that initial vibe, but I guess it just got a little watery over time. Giving it the benefit of the doubt. Nicely malty and refreshing as the original. With a bit more hoppy bite and a dry finish

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergoose. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds bready malts, a little caramel, faint paper. Light to medium sweet flavour with some toasty grains, more papery malts, dry caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some further toasted grains and caramel, brown bread. Simple stuff. Theydon_Bois (20450) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle split at L42, thanks to Fergus, 26/07/17.
Very light haze on a golden orange pour with a decent off white head that dissipates to a swirl.
Nose is orange peel, straw, toasted grains, light cereal notes, soft bread.
Taste comprises tangerine, melon, hint of bubblegum, soft breads, straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness.
Decent easy drinking number. LinusStick (3497) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2017
Not a bad beer. I prefer the original when it comes to sub-craft/non-macro beers but this is good. Aroma is all malt. Light caramel and toffee flavors. Pour was a nice medium dark gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was decent. Light but chewy and malty. The hop flavor clashed with the smooth maltiness. It was a nice variation of the beer but it didn’t really work. Nice carbonation. kraddel (8731) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUL 11, 2017
Smell is typical American, faded hops, Bit fruity , bit spiced. Plants, like real cut, green plants. Taste is soapy, mild metallic sidenote, powder, astrigent. mild sweetness. Mister_Li (1528) - GERMANY - JUN 20, 2017
