To commemorate an important milestone in Anchor Brewing’s long history, a special ale seemed appropriate. Having found and experimented with a very rare and unusual hop variety called Nelson Sauvin, we knew that its unique character would impart a wonderful flavor and aroma to a pale ale brewed especially for the occasion: Humming Ale.

An interesting beer with a unique character. Its a pale ale that has a good smooth finish and nice taste.

Light aroma of fruit and a little flowery. The taste is very bitter and perhaps a minimal fruitiness. But it is hardly so it is detected. Is it wrong of beer or like I just did not it? Says on the bottle that it will last at least until November 2014. The bitterness is not at all good according to me. It fills the upper part of the mouth for a long while. It is almost as I pour out the beer. Bad rating of this beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, amber, small off white head and a little bit of spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruit, malts and some honey. Taste is sweet, malty, some honey, some fruit notes, some herbal notes. Very decent beer; quite drinkable and certainly very enjoyable.

Bottle split two ways. Pour is clear copper with a frothy head. Nose and taste has the usual suspects, some light resin, grapefruit and pine needles with some light caramel sweetness.

Currently I am updating my ratebeer with al the beers I drank but was too lazy to rate at the time. I give the scores I gave back than. If I drink the beers again I might re-rate them.

Aromat nie jest bardzo złożony - czuć owoce tropikalne, mandarynkę i intensywne chmielenie. W smaku delikatna kwaskowość na początku, ziołowo - sosnowe z odrobiną słodyczy w tle. Goryczka średnia - przyjemna i orzeźwiająca. Piwo generalnie bardzo lajtowe jak na 6% woltażu. Minusem są drobiny zawieszone przy dnie naczynia.

Bottle 0,355L. Courtesy of Kita. Cloudy, light orange colour with large, frothy, off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of orange, meadow flowers, light pine, white wine, some species. Taste starts light bitter and fruity, than turns into moderate bitter, long lasting aftertaste. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Excellent beer!

355ml bottle at home. Hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitterness with some sweet tones. Hay, malts, some biscuit, caramel and citrus. A nice tasty full flavoured brew.
