Misty gold, nice head and lacing. The nose is spicy and mild with a touch of hops and a snappy malt note. Clean and fresh with a subtle body and mouthfeel. A little mild for me, but good. malrubius (3088) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - SEP 1, 2010
I wish I could write just a one word review: "Meh." Golden with small head and lace. Very mild hoppy honey aroma. Peach apricot sweet fruity tartness with mild lingering fruity fruit peel bitterness. I’m astonished that this is supposed to feature the same hop as the absolutely amazing Alpine Nelson. dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 31, 2010
(sample at Sun Devil). Slightly hazy with white head. Aroma is of spice and banana-almost hefeweizen. However, taste is bitter like the pith from a lemon peel. Light bodied with thin texture. This beer had more flavor than I thought, but not too exciting. egajdzis (6830) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 31, 2010
Lightly hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, toffee, floral hops, citrus, and grass. Taste of toast, toffee, citrus, faint nelson, and a bitter finish. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - AUG 31, 2010
Tap at Capones. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium creamy off white lacing head. Aroma was very light. Some citrus and grape. Flavor was better. Nice hip flavor. Floral, citrusy and some white grape.

Amber pour with a frothy white head. The aroma is subdued, but has some lightly roasted caramel malt and floral hopping. The flavors are pretty well balanced between the caramel sweetness and the slightly fruity hop bitterness, with it’s unusual hints of grapes. Decent, if uninspiring. Draught @ Sadonkorjuu 28.8. Poured hazy golden color with a frothy/dense white head. Aroma is apples and malt. Flavor is bread and malt, with some fruity notes. Slightly bitter finish. Somewhat heavy and tough to drink, not really what I had expected. Nik925 (800) - USA - AUG 29, 2010
I’m thinking there might be a reason why this hop variety is unusual...I hate to be a low score on an anchor brewing beer, but Maytag left so screw it. This is rather odd, but not really good. Appearance and aroma are nothing to mention. This is all based on a decent recipe and a weird hop that does make for some odd bitterness. Odd, yes. Great, no. rosenbergh (11956) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2010

Hazy golden colour with average sized foamy head.
Mild fruity not-so-bitter hops in aroma. Flavour is nice balanced mix of bitter fruity hops and malty body. Long-lasting bitterness in aftertaste.
Bottle. Big fruity hop nose, some golden grain and bright citrus, but winy notes would have to be imagined. Golden, clear pour with a rocky tannish head. Taste is surprisingly bitter and fierce for Anchor, with bright citrus and berry notes. Some really nice dank must. Medium body edging fuller, smooth with a touch of booze showing. Very dry. A good one.
