Clean amber color with a fluffy head of cream colored foam. Toast, caramel, and hint of plum with a balanced hop bill to cut through. Smooth and crisp, sweet and dry. A classic.

Can at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of roasted grains, some bready malts, slight banana, a little plastic, a hint of fruit and subtle floral hops. Taste of bready malts, some caramel, slight lemon, orange, a little fruit, a hint of grain and subtle floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A lingering, dry, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Maltier and quite British for its style. Fruity, slightly estery and a floral finish. Solid I suppose.

Achetée chez Hopla Boisson à Sierentz par Jess. Bière blonde dorée au nez malté et amère. Bouche amère type Pils. Pas trop mal.

I cant believe I havent rated this classic beer yet. Clean bready/cracker malt aroma with a hint of green grass. Slightly hazy light/medium yellow body with a small white head. Smooth, almost creamy body with straightforward crisp toasted malt flavor with a dry woodiness. Somewhat brash grassy, thistly bitterness with a slight citrus rind/pith dry tang comes barging through to really take over the malt flavor. That bitterness plants itself firmly in the mid to back tongue and then allows the slightly sweet bready malt to return. Lasting dry bitterness with a touch of honey on the finish. Great, classic beer from a great, classic brewer.

Very malty with interesting fruity flavours (dried apricots, figs). Humble bitterness. Very good indeed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
