Somewhat cloudy light amber with a nice beige head. Nose of pine, grapefruit, malt, spice, mint. Fairly dry taste with a mellow yet crispy bitterness slightly ahead of sweetness and sourness, very crisp finish. Lovely light palate. My favourite APA so far.

Aroma mnimo pero agradable. Color dorado, ms bien oscuro.

Bottle. Aroma of honey, toffee, herbs, orange, grass, spice. Pours clear copper with a dense white head. Taste is medium to lightly bitter and sweet. Im surprised by the unique taste of this one - it has a basil note to it in the taste which at first was weird but actually is pretty good. Otherwise it has bready, herbal, grassy and toffee flavours. Medium body, pretty easy drinking, medium soft carbonation and a grassy herbal finish. I got this fresh for just 2,5 euro - certainly a well deserved, iconic go-to ale.

About a 6-pack of 12oz bottles every year since 2010-2016; also served during Whats Brewing 101 and sampled at tastings 2016. (This rating based on Bier&Co/Bierlinie import bb02/2017.) - Bref: This quintessential APAs sweet & zesty aromas and appearance are marked by delicate nuances, its taste is straightforward and of an uncouth simplicity - natural carbonation in league with UK ESBs tealeafiness makes this extremely moreish and addictive. - Easy parallels drawn to the US character are entirely coincidental. - Ap: lovely orangeat copper, impressive organically dented head. Ar: lemon candy, ice tea granules, flower petals, Thai basil, caramels. T: mainly dry grapefruit and lemon candy and sorbet with a classical zesty bitterness stopping short of pine. A tealeaf dryness (flowery Orange Pekoe, Lady Grey) and delicate carbonation crown this beers straightforward appeal for me. Simple layer of toasted malt biscuit with a caramel edge does the job. Lingering orange rind and pith bitterness, quenching and drying. - In league with Fullers ESB in terms of classic Anglo-American ales. Is it the whole cone hops that make this beer feel so natural? Can easily cut through a 6 pack of this classic when nearer to the source.

12 oz bottle @ a friends. Clear golden to orange color. Rocky off white head. Aromas: fruit, ale-yeast. Fruit, some herbal hops and light malt retronasal. Flavor is moderate bitter with light sweetness. Medium bodied. Long, moderate bitter finish. Id like to retry this fresh from draft, if I ever make it back San Fran.
