This is my favorite IPA on the planet, ...now Mars makes some good ones, but we don’t rate them here. The beautiful pungency of the Cascade hops stay with you as you drink this beer. The head is cumulus thick, the color is straw yellow, and the tiny bubbles rush continously to the top of the beer. The apple sweetness arrives as the hop bitterness disappears. This beer is unique in it’s category, and is an incredible example of what can be done with this style.

Nice body, aroma,...the flavors!!! So many! This is the best beer made in America. My Flavorite, hands down.

Cask at the Wigan Beer Festival. Light gold/amber colour with a nice white head. Very floral aroma with that Cascade grapefruit touch. Very bitter with more grapefruit. Wonderful balance with the maltiness coming through along with a bitter finish. Superb stuff.

(Bottle) Clean, crisp, light, cool. The aroma doesn’t strike me as terribly complex when I just smell it, but when I start drinking it a lot of complexity emerges. Pleasantly dry, very bitter, just the right kind of carbonation to balance the aroma. A hint of sourness but none of the unpleasant type. A rich, coarse maltiness. This is the second-best American Pale Ale that I’ve tried...surpassed in my opinion only by Great Lakes’ Burning River, although that is a very different beer (this beer is more dry and has less citrusy/fruity character of the hops).

A very good beer. Bronze colored in the glass. Crisp and floral aroma. Same taste, nice and dry. A classic.

I originally had this beer about 7 years ago and was not impressed. Either the beer or my beer palate has improved. Wow! This is one tasty brew! Beautifully hoppy, perfect aroma. Lots of carbonation is visible in the body which spawns a large, white, rocky, creamy head. Body is amber orange in color. Nice flavor; similar to Minneapolis Town Hall's Single Malt Ale, but less sweet and cloying. Light to moderate bitterness; more bitter than Anchor steam. A little surprised to learn this is an IPA and it should delight both hop-heads and non, alike. Good session beer.
