COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Liberty IPA is our reimagining of craft-brew classic Liberty Ale, envisioned through the lens of todays IPAs. We first brewed Liberty Ale in 1975, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Paul Reveres midnight ride. This revolutionary forerunner of the modern IPA introduced America to the Cascade hop and the nearly lost art of dry-hopping. Like its predecessor, Liberty IPA is made with two-row pale malt and Cascade hops. It is the combination of Cascade with new hop varieties that creates the mouthwateringly complex and robust aromas of pine and citrus in this crisp, American-style IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head, nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and some fruit. Body is full and crisp. Piney, citrusy hops dominate the palate with bready malt and ripe fruit in the background. Finish is long and hoppy. Good brew.

Pours clear, bubbly solar yellow with a thick and rather persistent ivory head. Aroma delivers typical but enjoyable resiny hop character with a citrus underpinning. Flavor presents hoppy, resiny and citrus tones, average though tasty. Mouthfeel offers fair-to-middlin body and fizz. Typical but a good drink. Enjoy it with lunch, or a game on TV.

Lightlybhazy golden with a thin sticky lightly off white head. Big earthy but citrusy hop nose that kinda features a little lime and pine. Crisp leafy hop flavor thats brisk and lightly bitter but pleasantly lime zesty. Gently earthy but clean and balanced.

355ml bottle. Pours a honey color, nice foamy white head. Nice looking brew. Aroma is sweet herbs, orange, honey, floral, fruit. Smells fresh and pleasant. Flavor is acidic and tart, medium bitterness, especially in the finish. It is peppery, piney, tart, mint, malt flavor but not much sweetness, some esters. This is a nice brew.

Bottle from Trader Joes. Crisp hop flavors up front. Pretty well balanced malty/hoppy flavors. Modern tasting IPA with a bit of old school flavor to it. Very clean and easy drinking.

A very approachable IPA full of pine, tropical citrus, sweet malts, and some light herbal notes. Medium bodied. Full flavored and quite tasty yet reserved enough to have a few of. Nice.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is tropical fruits, funky wet hops, green banana. Taste is biscuity, earthy unripened fruit, lemongrass with some dry, thin citrus peel notes on the finish. Very interesting unripe fruit and starchy, biscuit flavors but still very drinkable.

Bottle in Seattle. Soft foam, rich amber gold. Funky sweet fruit, nectarine, yeasty white grapes. Green fruit, light tropics, lemongrass and ginger. Nice use of the funky, wet house yeast flavors. A bit unusual, fairly earthy with depth and weight. Very nice.

maekchu (3730) - Hirakata, JAPAN - FEB 14, 2017
Bottle from Hop City (West Midtown) in Atlanta. Moderately fruity nose, with Nelson hops and some ripe apples, all quite floral. Hazy, near cloudy, light gold straw color. Flavors of citrus, caramel, bread, herbs, and mild bittering. Medium body, and ery well balanced. Almost like a saison-IPA blend. Interesting, complex flavors. Very drinkable. I like this more than the regular Liberty Ale.
