COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our special ale from the brewers at Anchor. It is sold only from early November to mid-January. The Ale’s recipe is different every year, but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons appears born anew.

Editor’s Note: due to the significant similarity in style and strength from year to year (despite potential differences in the exact spice blend), this beer is no longer separated by vintage.

I always look forward to this beer due to the changes from year to year! This issue is one of the better ones IMHO! Nice balance but the clove, evergreen, nuttiness and coffee undertones are most identifiable! Will need more of this one! Merry Christmas!!

Popped the cap and unleashed a real spice bomb of an ale. It borders on a dense perfume aroma with no traditional ale scents present. A course, thick body with a thin finish. This was a bottle from the 2016 vintage, 6.5% ABV. Maybe 2016 was a bad recipe but I don’t anticipate buying this again.

Malt blend gives off that dry fruit and molasses. Comes through with the festive spirit. Gets better when warms up a bit. Reviewed - A Brew With You, Ep. 64

[as Anchor Brewing Merry Christmas 2016 Happy New Year] Bottiglia.

Not a fan of overspiced brews, but this one is very nice. Rich maltiness, caramel, bubble gum, pine, light cocoa, cinnamon, dark dried fruits. Moderate sweetness with moderate to light bitterness Well balanced, quite interesting.

Always a fan of the anchor Christmas brews. Rich and malty with a solid blend of spices, lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, and sharp lay bitter hops to lend some zing.
Earlier Rating: 11/17/2012 Total Score: 4.3
Anchor’s 2012 iteration is a solid outing from the brewery. The same bitter backbone and pungent aroma. Heavy on the spice, esp. nutmeg, but also has some caramel and bread in the flavor. Tried at the Burger Stand in November, 2012.

Butelka 355ml. Alk 6,5% z 2016roku.
