COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
San Francisco’s famous Anchor Porter brand is made in one of the smallest and most traditional breweries in the world by the brewers of Anchor Steam Beer. Our old-fashioned Porter is virtually handmade, with an exceptional respect for the ancient art of brewing. We use 100% malted barley, generous amounts of fresh, whole hops, entirely natural carbonation and a simple, natural brewing process which is like no other in the world. The deep black color, the thick, creamy head and the intensely rich flavor of Anchor Porter, made in San Francisco since 1974, have earned this delicious and unique brew a worldwide reputation for outstanding quality. It is aesthetically pleasing and wholly superior in every respect.

Porter Americana con matices de chocolate, regaliz y caf.En vista de marrn oscuro a casi negro .Paladar con entrada algo dulce, pero enseguida va a su ser con un amargo entre de las maltas y los lpulos. Algo astringente y con acidez en su punto

Bottle at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. Perfect pour and a very handsome beer in the glass. The flavour was, as expected, all about those roasted and toasted malts with lots of biscuit and bitterness. It also had a very smooth mouthfeel that was given every assistance by the beer being served at the perfect temperature. A clinically well made porter that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Pours a very dark brown with a hint of red, and a dark tan head. Aroma is butterscotch, caramel, malt. Taste is a rather sweet up front, leading to a nice full, dark middle with some rasin, smoke, with a light bitterness on the end, that lingers. Medium to thin bodied, medium to low carbonation. Really good!

Pours a very dark brown with red highlights and thin tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, some coffeee and delicate fruitiness with some new world hops present too. Taste is a smooth, a really nice blend of roasted malt flavours with some caramel and more of a creamy dark chocolate taste than any coffee-like flavours. Nicely balanced with hop bitterness. Really enjoyable Porter.

Nice for a porter. Smooth toffee? Flavour. Couldn’t drink more than 1 though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 04-2019. Z: utlenienie dominuje.

Dark brown pour with a red glow and thin tan layer of a head. Roasted malts up front for aroma. Also caramel, coffee beans, and hoppiness in there too, along with brown breadcrust and burnt popcorn kernel. Over medium bitterness, soft to medium sweet. Medium body with the same Co2. Extremely tasty porter. Haven't figured out all the aromas it's throwing at me.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2017 Pours black coffie with 2 fingers of tan head. Excellent lacing. Smells sweet malted barley and caramel. Taste is malty with mild bitter hops finish. ABV is a bit low for a porter but its a good beer.

Very good Porter. Nice choice. My recommendation to try with dry meat. Our company prefer such a dark beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
