UPDATED: MAR 16, 2018 Bottle. Pours dark with minimal head quickly dissipating. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, liqorice. Flavour follows with sweet molasses, brown sugar, toffee caramel and roasted malts. Pleasent bitterness with no acrid or astringent taste. Low carbonation. Good ol' porter. mylos86 (22) - - MAR 11, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2018 Zwarte kleur, dikke en licht bruine schuim van korte duur. Koffie, karamel en pure chocola in de smaak. Bitter en medium mondgevoel met lage-medium carbonatie. Relatief lage alcohol. Bittere afdronk van medium-lange duur. Mr_Esclave (15) - FRANCE - MAR 7, 2018
35.5cl Bottle. Maybe a bit fizzy for my kind of porter, but very enjoyable nevertheless, a very creamy texture spiffero (70) - Camelford, Cornwall, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2018
Pours very dark, with a substantial, frothy tan head that lasts quite well. Smells of alcohol, malt, and yeast. Some alcohol bite in the taste, mixed with a hoppy bitterness and black coffee notes make this quite an intense drink, with slight relief from sweet vanilla notes. Good at what it does, but I prefer a gentler porter, such as Fuller's London Porter. Myonlyvice (381) - DENMARK - MAR 5, 2018
Very dark brown with a brown dense head. Aroma: coffee, burnt malt, chocolate, some fruit (maybe plum.) Taste is balanced burned bitterness and malty caramel sweetness. Some fruity sourness somewhere in the background gives a slight crispness

Bottle, 0.355l. Dark ruby pour, two finger frothy beige head. Medium retention, lots of lacing. Heavily malty nose, sugary, loads of caramel. Yeasty notes, reminds me of some Belgian brews.
Thin to medium body. Prickly carbonation, lingering between soft and medium. Sweet malty taste with some roasty bitter notes following. Aroma like the nose, more similarities with Belgian beers then with what I recognize as porter. Heavily malty, caramel, toffee, sugar. Syrupy. Herbal notes in the background, slightly peppery. Wheat and yeast. Medium lasting finish, slightly bitter.
Overall, fine brew but not what I expected from a porter. Ok. GoDarkOrGoHome (86) - - MAR 2, 2018
A beautiful deep black appearance, not as malty as most porters but still manages to retain a thick texture that goes with the smoothness to bring out the flavours of coffee, fruits that don't push the sweetness into unpleasant territory and despite my dislike for hops, they don't cause me the bother here that they usually do, thanks to them not affecting too lively a carbonation. Will try again. Dbcwi88 (128) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2018

From bottle in porter glass. Pours near black with dense tan head and choc malt aroma that was modest at first but built as it warmed. Smooth with some treacle elements mixed in with the choc. Glad to finally find this online (Beer Store) and try side-by-side with Fullers
