Medium goldish orange with a lacy lasting thin bubbly head. Smells of light floral and malt with oranges. Medium creamy body with carbonation. Tastes sweet at first with cereal, smooth malt and lager elements and a bitter grassy hoppy long dry earthy finish. Interesting but overly grassy.

355ml bottle. Pours slight hazy copper with an off white head. One of two bubbles, good head retention. Nose is freshly baked brown, rye bread, citrus orange and lemon rind and nice earthy element to the beer too. Taste is really full on this one. Absolutely delicious stuff. The bready malts are really fresh, there is a slight nutty element and a citrus peel in the dry bitter finish. LakatosKE (526) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 10, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2017 0.33l bottle. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma: caramel, bread, straw. Taste: caramel, semi-sweet, bread, grass, light citrus. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. ozzatoadisback (188) - ITALY - SEP 6, 2017
Beatiful dark copper but still transparent. Big and quite dense head, the slightest off-white. Good retention and some lacing. Simple, clean and quite vivid aroma of caramel malts and stone fruits with a bit of floral hops on the back. Taste follows the aroma. Medium sweet and medium bitter with a slightly bitter finish of floral or maybe tea-like hops. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall a rather simple but highly enjoyable beer. Good. surething_ii (568) - Šenkvice, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 3, 2017
Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa.
Quite yeasty aroma with just little of any fruity tones. Taste is relatively flat, not exactly my to my preference. But yeah, for this style it's OK and this beer has only very few flaws if any. Good.

Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of flowers and some citrus. Taste of malt and caramel, some herbs and orange. Sweet finish. Rider0nTheStorm (89) - Ablis, FRANCE - SEP 2, 2017
Bière historique certes mais sans complexité. Elle ressemble à une lager bien que sa couleur soit cruivre assez foncée. Assez agréable tout de même. alexmate (226) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Golden colour. Decent sized head. Tastes like a lager with a bit of a caramel and hoppy taste has a solid malted aftertaste. Quite thick and filling. einherjar (407) - Rijeka, CROATIA - AUG 29, 2017
Amber color, medium creamy head. Aroma caramel, bread. Taste starts like lager: light malt, then caramel, herbs, smooth body, long dry bitter finish. Excellent! p0urmeac0ld0ne (181) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - AUG 27, 2017
what more can be said about the world famous anchor steam? i could just reel off a stack of adjectives that i nicked from the right hand side of this page or i could tell you that i thoroughly enjoyed this well-known american craft ale. unsure if it was the "right" match, but paired with pan-seared chicken and asparagus this legendary brew worked a treat. fantastic stuff!
