3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It seems like everywhere you go, people talk highly of this beer. I can see why, but at the same time the hype I had heard for it left me slightly disappointed. The best thing about it is the dirty, dark and golden colour, the aroma doesn’t quite live up to the appearance. It’s mildly tangy, mild but notable yeast presence, it’s pretty much a toned down version of a type of beer that is often complex and challenging. The best thing I can say in praise of this beer is that it seems like it would be an incredibly versatile lunch/dinner beer.
Bottle from saveur bière.com. Little ambar, pretty sweet, average beer, ok. La sentinelle (42) - Jinan, CHINA - JUL 22, 2017

Best tasting beer for the money anywhere! Been drinking this regularly for 47 years. Can’t beat it. Tops all those over priced fopish, artsy-fartsy so called "craft" beers out there positively ruining the beer market!! kustie (1190) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2017
Bottle. Golden color with medium off-white head. Aroma has malt, caramel, toffee. Taste is malty with long somewhat bitter aftertaste. Flavors of grassy hops, caramel, malt, toffee. balloonbuffoon (330) - - JUL 7, 2017
12floz bottle, $1.50 unit price, BOD: 05.09.2017 ("7YI"). Poured this beer into a nonic glass where it appears copper with a tan head, and bubbling going on. Plain wet hay and caramel aroma doesn’t stand out much. It doesn’t have to as this is a classic, traditional American amber lager. Multigrain bread flavor has just enough hop presence to to lend a dry grass taste. Well-crafted, good flavor for a sessionable beer. This is always a good option to pair with burgers and fries.

Boring but kept on good level. Lots of malt, floral-grassy hops, high carbonation. gepajerry (9) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 26, 2017 does not count
A good basic beer. I especially like the pallet, ad the head is beautiful. Taste is okay, and the low ABV could almost qualify it as a session beer. Enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Clear amber with an inch of off white foam. Nose of malt and caramel balanced with light hops. Flavors are toffee, toast, floral hops and bread. Zesty mouthfeel with persistent carbonation. Fresh, clean finish but with a light lingering malt sweetness. Long time favorite.
