3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, from Walt’s, Homewood, IL Pours a bright, straw color with no haze. Big head with good lacing. Taste is tangy, a bit tart. Nice hop bill tends to the West Coast stuff, but more peppery and citrusy than bitter (Cascade?). Bitterness only appears in aftertaste. A well-tuned western American wheat beer.
355ml Can: Pours a clear golden with thick white head that retains well. Lacing. Aroma of citrus and marshmallow. Spicy notes fill the mouth, finishing quite dry. Interesting candy-like flavours as well. Bitterness is medium, body is medium to low, carbonation is medium. Overall the beer is crisp and clean with a great flavour. I really like this style of beer. Schnabelhund (97) - TAIWAN - JUL 28, 2017

Anchor Summer Wheat pours a clear golden color and sports a fluffy white head with beautiful lacing. The subtle nose leads with aromas of pineapple and green apple, backed by bright tropical fruits. The taste is acidic from attack to finish, with more hoppiness than the nose suggests on the mid-palate with light astringency and a hint of resin. The fluffy body is light, bordering on lean. Quaffable.
Summer beer campaign down at Familymart. Aroma: rather sour. Appearance: clear dark amber, minimal head. Palate: light-bodied and thin, average carbonation, bitter finish. Taste: moderately bitter, bananas and pear drops at the end. Misleading, tastes more like an IPA, where’s the wheat? Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a yellow pale transparent color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet floral to herbal character touching down with a keen clean sweet wheaty crispness.
The flavor copied the aroma sweetly providing a clean crisp aftertaste and finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a clear sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good easy going American pale wheat ale that would be good again for the warmer weather. Piw (1164) - Rüsselsheim, GERMANY - MAR 14, 2017

Lovely and sunny, quick finish and zesty edge to it. Very easy drinking with nice carbonation. Doesn’t compare favourably to more complex European varieties but it’s not trying to. Does what it sets out to, very very well. basaywhat (288) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2017
12 oz can. Pours a cloudy yellowish gold with a nice frothy white head. Aroma of pale malts, wheat and mild citrus hop notes with some fruity esters. Flavor is spicy wheat, light residual sweetness up front but drys out on the finish. andrepintado (3492) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - JAN 23, 2017
Can from beers of europe. Light hazy gold color. Thin white head. Medium bitterness, light sweet. Medium thin body. Aroma and flavour is hops, citrus, wheat, fresh herbs. Leighton (21513) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2016
Can at home in London - picked up at the Drinkers’ Paradise. Pours crystal clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has some dried citrus peel, lemon rind, dried wheat flakes, pale grains. Light sweet flavour with more grainy wheat character, some white bread, straw, old worn-out lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more lemony notes, faint plastic, more hay, dried grains. Pretty basic stuff, really. mr_h (5644) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - DEC 14, 2016
