Sample at Crooked Stave. The beer pours a clear ruby-brown color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of oak, tart fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with flavors of vinous oak, caramel malt and funky yeast. The finish is brett yeast and tart vine fruits. Pretty good all around.

Very good sour beer. Initially, at a colder temperature, the sourness is mild. It builds as it rises to room temperature. Not too palate erasing.

Bottle... Cloudy Longhorn-orange pour with no head. The aroma is stacked with yeast-driven spiciness, some maltiness and a decent element of stone-fruitiness. Full-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor is tart, malty and fruity, although theres less fruitiness and sourness than I was hoping for. At least there is some slight cognac warmth. Finishes tart, raspy and dry. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
