Bottle, shared with Grippitis. Dark brown, lively light brown head. Lots of brown bread with roasty and vinous notes, some subtle funk too. Dark cherry fruit lingers. Nice depth of complexity, really tasty.

Bottle. Aroma is an odd mix of red wine, coffee, dark bread and light nail polish. Tastes like a mix of bread, red wine and mild coffee. Odd but still is solid. Not something I’d drink often though.

750ml bottle pours an opaque dark brown/black with some cloudy, tan head. Nose has stale sour coffee, blood orange, light spice, some red grape, light port. Flavor has some tobacco leaf, some port, caramel, dark chocolate. Finishes mostly dry.

Dogbrick (13789) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 8, 2016
Sample at Crafted Drafts during the "Anchorage Sour Tasting" on 08/14/2016. The beer pours a clear dark brown color with a medium thick light beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of dark fruit, oak and funky yeast. Medium body with flavors of brett yeast, oak, red fruits and malt. The finish is vinous oak and yeast. Pretty good all around.

reebtogi (6392) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 17, 2016
750ml corked bottle pours black in color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains with some lemon and red wine grapes with hints of whiskey and yeast. Taste is a light roasted grain and spicy hop bitterness with a lemon tartness and a fruity and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable brew that is balanced and tasty. Recommended.

Char and currant aroma. Black, medium beige head. Charcoal and currant. Medium body, easy carbonation. Tasty, not as much complexity as I would have expected.

Pretty good but not great. Dark with minimal head. Nose is tart and woody. Plums in the nose too. Very tart initial taste and feel. Dry barrel notes are next. Nice complex finish is the best with this. Ends with some malty and dry notes.
