Bottle pour at Noc noc. Opaque dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a thin light tan head. Aroma is nice lacto sour, sweet choc , leather, praline, little Apple. Flavour is tangy granny smith apple, sweet vanilla. Choc some coconut. Tangy. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet and sour, highish carbonation. Good sour stout. 750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear datk reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, grapes, oak, cocoa and light bourbon. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. 750 ml bottle into tulip glass; Batch #2, bottled in November 2014. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tart cherry, raisin, currant, lemon, green apple, red grape, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, red wine vinegar, toasted oak, black pepper, leather, light vanilla, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast/oaky earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy/acidic yeast, roasted malt, and oak barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart cherry, raisin, currant, lemon, green apple, red grape, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, red wine vinegar, toasted oak, black pepper, leather, light vanilla/char, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast/oaky earthiness. Moderate balanced tartness/spiciness and light roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, raisin, currant, lemon, green apple, red grape, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, red wine vinegar, oak, black pepper, leather, light char, and yeast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/acidic yeast, roasted malt, and oak barrel flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and slightly creamy/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent sour stout style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/acidic yeast, roasted malt, and oak barrel flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Aroma is sweet malty and tangy with raisins and red fruits. Taste is tangy and acidic with hi plate rum strawberries red fruits lemon tang cocoa. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Bottle thanks to my mom! Pours black with a thin grayish brown head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma is mainly dark grains but has a bit of sour dark red fruits and a hint of wine. Black with a well appointed light tan covering that dissipates to a swirl.
Nose is bitter red berry, funk, dark fruit notes, brett strokes, red wine tones, fruit cake.
Taste comprises bitter fruit, funk, light vinegar, damp wood, charr, earthy berry, tangy dates, bretted licks.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with warming alcohol and moderate puckerings.

Bottle at my 10K, thanks to Theydon Bro. It pours pretty much black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich, sweet-sour, oily, funky, dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut, mild whisky and jammy blackcurrant. The taste is bitter-sour, earthy, funky, some acidity, charred wood, cocoa, granny smith apple, charred wood, leather and some alcohol heat towards the finish with a dry, woody finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Interesting, but I am never quite sure about the balance of dark roasty sours. Not bad anyways.
