Excuse me ma’am, I paid extra for the cheese, yet, there was no cheese #TheMatrix
Bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with spotty beige head. Aroma is very tart. Taste has tartness mixed with oak and booze. Interesting mix. beertholomeus (1813) - California, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Pours black with a tan head. Tart, funk, roasted malt and yeast aroma. Chocolate, roasted malt, tart, funk, oak and wine flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Roasted malt, tart and oak finish. Weird but good. djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 28, 2015
Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is strong oak, dark fruit, vinous, cherry. Thin mouth, oak, cherry, dark fruit, wine, good. Thisis12ptfont (1214) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - MAR 11, 2015
Massive aromas of plum, dark fruits, black cherries, blackberries, grapes, raisins, rice vinegar, oak, acidity, rye whiskey and vinous wine grapes. Appears dark black on a thin brown foam rim. Taste moderate sourness upfront with dark fruits, plums, raisins, prune juice, wine grapes, rice vinegar, chocolate, very chalky cocoa, toffee, dark malts and very dry, slightly roasty whiskey finish with no booze. Overall, I saw that this was a dark sour ale (as I love sour ales) aged in whiskey barrels (as I love whiskey/bourbon aged beers) and also wine barrels so I was expecting a big treat. The aroma was immense but sadly the beer falls very flat in my opinion. All the notes are very hinted undertones. Big disappointment, B- rating.

750 mL bottle opened at a tasting. Pours black with a thin tan head. Big sour dark fruit aroma. Sour dark fruit flavor on top of a light chocolate like body. Tart flavor lingers forever. Grape and black cherry finish. Awesome beer, and unique for sure. Not too many black belgian sours out there. Great stuff. gramity (1678) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 6, 2015
Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights under a thin white head. Big sour acid, soft wood. Funk, chewy malt. Big warm malt. Big and warm, roast and acid, soft and funky. Warm alcohol, roast and acid. bytemesis (8981) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 28, 2015
Bottle. Pours opaque black, small dark brown head, good lacing. Aroma is vinous, Bretty, roasty, cocoa, tobacco, oak. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, vinous red wine notes, oak, roasted malts, chocolate. Light funk with characteristic Anchorage strain Brett notes present in the background. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Nice effort. I am a sucker for Anchorage beers. furthur (1225) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - JAN 23, 2015
Bottle, 2nd batch, 2014. Body nearly black, opaque, cardboard colored head fades, some lace,. Aroma is kombucha, currants, peach, raisin, currants, faint funk. Taste is dry, sour cider, peach pit, cinnamon, raisin. Finish is bitter, and sour. Palate is light, carbonation soft, but that spice feels so sharp. Alcohol very well hidden. Good, but not as good as sex machine.
