3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a golden yellow color with a big white head. Aroma is belgian yeast, hops, and barnyard funk. The taste is chalky, a little bitter from the hops, belgian yeast flavors and a subtle Brett taste with some oak. In theory this sounds like an awesome beer. I was super excited to try it. Sadly I really don’t like it. The belgian double IPA with Brett sounds exactly like it tastes and it doesn’t work at all for me. I did not enjoy this.
Interesting combination... Belgian IPA? Actually, it works well. Light, bitter, and refreshing. Like a Belgian, the mouth feel lingers a bit too long. Overall, a really pleasant beer.

Excellent beer with a very unique style. Strong citrus hops aroma, hop heavy start with the finish of a Belgian Strong. Highly recommended from someone who typically does not go for IPA style beer. Complex, aromatic and most importantly, tasty. Capa (3336) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Hazy golden with a white head. Effervescent and bright. Mango, citrus, white wine, peach. A good musty and tart bite. Medium bodied. Clean Brett profile. Great stuff. Wife says it’s a breakfast drink. I agree. copestx (227) - Vesterbro, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2017
Batch #4 from Dec. 2015. Aroma of stone fruit and oak, taste is heavenly brett, oak and chardonnay, stone fruit, green apples, and faded piney hops. Any list of best US breweries that doesn’t include Anchorage is a joke, so tired of east coast IPA factories getting so much hype when Anchorage is the absolute master of Brett and consistency (two things that don’t typically go together). This beer is yet another master class in fermentation. Complex but also balanced. So much wonderful stuff going forward on here! Slubgob (338) - West Hartford, USA - JAN 8, 2017
Bomber into wine glass. Very hazy orange yellow, fine white foam clings to edge.nose is mostly sour Brett, bit of orange, barest hint of funk. In the mouth, reads mostly as a door ale,I don’t really get IPA. More orange flavor, sour funk. Just enough sour to make it clean without being off putting if you’re not a sour fanatic. Maybe some herbs on there, sage or bay? Lingering citrus finish. Drinks very easily, and invites many sips to tease spay the layers.

Golden light opalescent with a large frothy white head, excellent lacings. Aromas of straw, wood, hay, wet leather, citrus, floral-earthy notes develop. Pretty complex and interesting aroma profile. Effervescent, smooth and full bodied. Light sweetness paired with a burst of citrussy, piney, woody and white grape flavours building a harmonic bitter-acidic taste sensation. Lasting juicy finish. superspak (5797) - Michigan, USA - AUG 6, 2016
750 ml bottle into tulip glass; Batch #4, bottled in 12/2015. Pours fairly clear golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge lightly tart/sour lemon, lime, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, guava, grapefruit, orange peel, peppercorn, white wine, oak, hay, straw, musty funk, leather, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale male notes; with great strength. Taste of huge lightly tart/sour lemon, lime, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, guava, grapefruit, orange peel, peppercorn, white wine, oak, hay, straw, musty funk, leather, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness, Large amount of peppery yeast spiciness and citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, grapefruit, citrus rind, peppercorn, white wine, oak, leather, musty funk, and floral/grassy/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale male flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors lingering after the finish. Very drying from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, sticky/resinous, lightly grainy/creamy, and acidic/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an insane Belgian IPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale male flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink for the big ABV. A really amazing offering all around. Saeglopur (2249) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUL 30, 2016

Golden-amber, hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, white head.
Amazing aroma of Brett, barrel, white wine, citrus candy, berries,
Tastes of sweet ripe fruits, lemongrass, barrel, white wine, barnyard, grass.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes dry, medium sour, wooden, vinous, subtly sweet malty.
Tasty. The nose is really amazing, just how I like a Brett beer. Tasty doesn’t keep up in my opinion, while still enjoyable. Overall I don’t get the DIPA much, this is pretty much a sour ale, but a very enjoyable one.
Bottle. Thanks to Werckmeister. Golden slightly cloudy body with white head. Aroma is very nice fruity brett. Taste is fruity and dry with nice fruits and hints of wood. Aftertaste is nice sour fruity and bitter. Nice one. Werckmeister (3240) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 30, 2016
0,75l bottle at home shared by 4, from trade with fabiand, big thanks for that one. Batch No 4, 12/2015. dark yellow lightly hazy color, small white head. smells lightly funky, some wood, marzipan, nutty, light green apples, peach. very nice smell. full body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. tastes of spices, light wood, peppery, peach, acidic, herbal. finishes rather dry, lightly alcoholic and rather spicy with some herbal and peppery notes. good stuff, liked the smell quite a bit more, would love some more sourness on the taste. overall still very nice beer.
