Bottled. A hazy light yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, alcohol, and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, straw, and wheat, leading to a dry, alcohol, and wheaty finish. The body is light.

750ml bottle, batch #2, bottled 4/2012. Big, thick foamy white head. Half hazy pale yellow color. Some splotches of lace. This is a very interesting brew. My second from Anchorage I’ve tried (after the wit), and this is just as interesting as the first. Really nice lemon-peel, peppercorn, and light pine aroma, very soft and smooth carbonation. Light wood notes. Definitely a zesty sweet taste, lightly spicy. Enjoyable, interesting, unusual IPA, for sure, but wouldn’t buy it again besides for the novelty, considering the price

Quite a remarkable beer. Really, really funky, tart, citrusy (mostly lemon peel), hoppy all at once. Even a good black pepper note. Just all-around solid. Really excited by this stuff.

AWISLguy (3109) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 7, 2012
750ml bomber from Woodmans in the Falls. Pours a very foamy, unclear, very pale yellow. Popping the cork exploded carbonation and bottle conditioning. Lots of spongey foamy lacing. Aroma has spices, sweet fruits, cherry and funk. Taste is of sweet fruits, sour cherry, spicy cinnamon and a vegetal herb-y flavor. Little sign of any IPA characteristics. Quite light with some strong flavors. Finishes sweetly tart and earthy with some spicy length. It is an interesting brew - a sour/wild ale I would think, or possibly a fruit beer - just not really to my taste interests.

My god this is a great beer. These guys are expensive but put em up there with Jolly Pumpkin and Hill Farmstead as my favorite funky beers. Just great complex and hoppy, bretty, yeasty, and amazing.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow color with a medium to large frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast sour citrus and herbs aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus sweet & sour flavor with a medium to heavy Sour & sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded by this standout beer.
