UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, fruits, brettanomyces, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and berries, as well as hints of brettanomyces leading to a dry finish. A bit boring. Cloudy orange color, large off white head that settles quickly and leaves solid lacing. Aroma of citrus > grass > fruit. Taste is barnyard lemons, straw and hay with sour peppers toward the finish. Very nice stuff. madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2013

Very hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light. A little dry and slight soft. Light brett and minerals. A little tangy fruit. Light bretty bitterness. The wine barrelling makes this beer. Fresh Pinot Noir tartness. Grapey goodness and dryness. Really well joined up. Belies it’s abv.
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy amber with a frothy off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Fruity nose with quite some Brett. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, there’s a dry tart berry note probably from the Pinot Noir barrel combined with a pleasant funky Brettyness. Ends dry with some hops showing. Calling this a Saison is probably stretching the borders of the style, but it sure is a nice beer. 290212 Leighton (22051) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2012
Bottle at THE Sour and Saison Tasting, London. This bottle came from me. Pours hazy, rich gold with a fine, white cream head. Big brett nose with hints of alcohol. Medium to big sweet flavor with dirty brett, some toasty sugars, light berries, dirty socks. Medium to full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with sturdy brett character, sweaty socks, faint herbs, light bitter grass. On the ’strong’ end of the saison scale, for sure, but it’s still great stuff with the brett providing a bright, airy funk that cuts into the alcohol nicely.
