Très pale, trouble, belle effervescence. En bouche c’est un vrai terrain de combat où le Brett et le Sorachi Ace s’affronte sous l’oeil attentif de mon palais. Le côté beurre du houblon japonais est bien incrusté et complémente magnifiquement l’abrasivité du Brett. Je suis encore assomé par la conception sans bavure de cette bête.

750 mL bottle poured. Batch #4. July, 2014. Finally pulling this one out. Quite an incredible tripel here, though it is nearly unrecognizable for the style with all the treatment. Cloudy, golden orange pour. Brett dominated aroma, with an orange fruit afterthought. Flavor is white whine, underneath a citrus and oak. A bit dry late, but not to the point where it bothers me. In the fridge for 2 months? no idea when I actually got it. $? lots. Anchorage? Yes please. Triple brett? obvoiusly yessss. it's 11:59pm. I'm a lush. This is a bad idea. Very bretty aroma. The usual that goes with the brett is here. There is a warm ice cream smell closely related to vanilla that is pretty cool. Lemon, old abandoned farm house cold storage, a fresh herb of some sort or another. The flavour is quite wonderful initially and beyond. Still loving the aroma every time I bring the glass to my face. Dryness, brett softness, harshness, etc. Lemon, dirt, hop zip, vanilla things. Some depth when warmer. Never once did I think "boy, this triple is great". Bit of the yeast has hit but a triple? Whatevs. Still very drinkable after all this time open. 100% enjoyable.

Whoa. Absurd beer overall. The brett is kind of subtle but the oaky and vinous wooden flavours are sublime. The pour is a bright golden straw colour with orange hues, light white head, foamy but not huge. The nose is bright, estery and lightly spiced with a light oaky aroma. Brett is mild but well ingrained in the profile with the oak and wine barrel notes taking the spotlight. Rating # 3700. 750ml brown bottle, corked and caged. The beer pours out bright yellow, a hint of haze. The head is thin but has a very tight bead and clings for a while. The aroma has brett up front - incoming funky and tart lemony notes, and that winey Chardonnay is there. The taste is sharp lemony brett, tart white wine and woody dryness from the aging barrel. Dry and crisp in the finish. Nothing tripel or triple about it, a sour bretted strong ale that drinks majestically. This is one of the finer beers on this planet, you should be drinking it right now.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2017 Totally cloudy bright yellow beer with smallish but thick long lasting head on top. Aroma has sweet fruits, white wine, citrus zest, grapefruit, some sour green apples, more sweet than sour. Taste has sweet fruits, white wine, citrus zest, light alcohol burn in the end. More juicy than the European Tripels, which is kind of a good thing. Fullish juicy body with medium carbonation, not too high as the most of the Tripels tend to have. 750ml corked bottle pours a slightly hazy golden color with a big white head that dissipates quickly leaving some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is spicy and earthy with some white wine and woody notes. Taste is a light lime tartness with a light fruity and malty sweetness and a spicy, earthy hop bitterness finishing with a winey dryness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Bright, almost canary yellow with a medium-sized white head that recedes quickly to ring. Good clarity leaving the sediment behind.
Plentiful yellow fruit rise up, with prominent nectarine skin, followed by light honey-filled malts and finally a big dose of chardonnay-like barrel character. Surprisingly very intense still, for three years old. Seems quite "sweet" based on the nose; big malts and oak really stick to the nose. It’s clean, however, and the light-to-moderate, lime-like Brett is playful and helps brighten things. Alcohol is well-concealed, no doubt buried underneath all of this malt and oak/wine.
An interesting sweet/sour juxtaposition, though not the usual bacterial-induced sourness (and not really all that sour), but rather tart, acidic Chardonnay notes that play off of the rich, honey and vanilla-filled malts. Clean and with a low-to-moderate, tight carbonation. In the end, it’s just a bit unrelenting on the barrel character. The interplay of rich malt and rich Chardonnay underscored by huge tannin and toasted oak is interesting at first but gets fatiguing and monotonous rather quickly.
Bouteille 750 ml du Canada craft Beer Club. Au nez, les Bretts sont dominantes avec de petites notes d’agrumes du genre orange et citron. Quelques fruits tropicaux se démarquent également. En support aux Bretts, les effluves de Chardonnay et le boisé de la fermentation en barriques. En sourdine, de la vanille est soutirée du boisé. Au visuel, une mousse crémeuse un doigt, recouvre un liquide doré / orangé très flou. Même petite, la mousse persiste plus d’une minute. L’entrée de bouche est toute en Bretts, contrebalancée par le Chardonnay et le boisé, et accompagné d’une chaleur d’alcool enveloppante. Les agrumes aux tons de citron et d’orange sanguine supportent bien les notes fermières, l’aspect vineux et le bon vieux bois de chêne. Belle complexité aromatique. Puissant alcool chaud et enveloppant. Corps moelleux et suave. Arrière gout légèrement herbacé. Bière complexe et chaleureuse.
