Questa e davvero buona, nella mia top ten delle basse fermentazioni....aromi complessi con caramello, caffè tostato, prugne, salsa di soia..... Secca, corpo medio, finale pulito, amarognolo e persistente.....
My favorite dopplebock of all time. Can still visualize the beautiful biergarten . This is the Dopplebock bier that all others are compared to. Rich malt that always makes you want more. Prost!

German beer #1000: 0.5 l bottle, best before February 2018. Clear, very dark brownish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, treacle, dark honey and raisins. Rather sweet, malty, slightly fruity and a bit roasty taste of caramel, treacle, prunes, raisins, dark honey, some chocolate and a touch of toasted nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty finish. Full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Rich and moreish stuff, great mouthfeel, overall a very good Doppelbock. StilleStorm (1535) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2017
DAA; Drunk at Majavatn, take away from Bad Segeberg. Bottle 0,5l. Pours large, dark cobber with a creamy, lasting and lacing tan head. Nose is moderate to heavy, toasted, malt, bread, caramel, nuts and light chocolate. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with lasting, warming, sweet malt, nutty finish. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is lively. tekstr1der (490) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 2, 2017
One of my favorite styles, and when done right (Celebrator, Korbinian), the brewer is difficult to differentiate. This is a good thing. Pour is mahogany with small foam that fades to a ring. Aroma is on point with dark ripe fruits and raisins residing in a malty sweet that hints of chocolate. Flavor follows the same. Very tasty. Mishnok (306) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2017
I'm not usually bowled over by doppelbocks and I can't say that this is the exception. Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly drinkable. A nice mahogany colour, though no head or lacing. It's malty, toasty, a bit of molasses thrown in and a bit sweet. I just can't drink a lot of this beer type, it just doesn't do it for me.

W aromacie ciemny chleb, zboża, skórka chlebowa, czerwone owoce. W wyglądzie ciemna czerwień wpadająca w brąz, niezła kremowa piana. W smaku rodzynki, figi, kandyzowane owoce, nuty melanoidynowe, czerwone owoce, nuty utlenienia, słodkie, bardzo przyjemnie. Ciało średnie, średnie wysycenie, dość aksamitna faktura. Ogólnie przyjemny koźlak o fajnym, złożonym smaku i średnim aromacie erikaraeb (226) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 3, 2017
Tastes of malt and toasted wheat bread. Carbonation strong at first and disappears quickly with the sip. A solid classic dunkel which doesn’t at all taste like it’s abv. Grumpelmies (318) - GERMANY - JUN 1, 2017
Bottle. Dark mahagony/ruby/copper with an impressive head and lots of lacing. Aroma of dark malts, berries, molasses and some chocolate. Taste is malts, dark fruits, a hint of chocolate, caramell, cherries, nuts and finishing off with a subtle hoppy bitterness (floral and slightly citrussy). Beautifully balanced. Medium to strong carbonation. Full bodied and smooth. Alcohol is well hidden. I think this was the first Doppelbock I ever had and it made me fall in love with the style and the Andechs brewery. Pours a clear, dark reddish brown with a medium, off white head. The aroma consists of earthy malt, caramel, bread, lesser cherry and chocolate, and hints of spices. The taste is just a little sweet. This one has a good earthy backbone to it. A healthy amount of caramel is the main impression, with compliments of cherry, raisin, nuts, bread, herbal hops, and mild licorice. Everything here is pretty well balanced actually. Caramel aftertaste. Medium in body, with a chewy texture, and average in carbonation. This one goes down smooth and easy. Doppelbocks aren’t usually my favorites, but this was really good. GTAEgeek (2218) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 24, 2017
0.5 L bottle, poured into a tulip. Lovely, clear, ruby brown color, with a medium, foamy, tan head. The aroma is light toast, toffee, brown sugar, plums, anise, and pipe tobacco. Sweet and malty, with a barely perceptible bitterness. Medium body, with a smooth, velvety texture. This is a wonderful, balanced, and easy beer.
