4.3
Piepenhenrich (594) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 15, 2017
Like all Andechs beers this is above average quality and rich in taste. Very good Dark, complex but well-balanced and lovely to drink. Good from the bottle but best - not surprisingly - from the tap ideally in the beer garden of the monastery with some traditional food. Close to perfection.

Zlotta (3505) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - AUG 4, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’. Clear, very dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little grassy aroma of caramel, chocolate and some straw. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a bit grassy taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts and some coffee, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather roasty and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

4.5
Grumpelmies (318) - GERMANY - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle. Red/copper coloured. Proper head. Aroma of red berries, malts and hops. Taste is malts, red berries, cherries, caramell and chocolate. Also some roasted flavours and some acidity. Medium carbonation. The abundance of aroma and taste reminds me of a Doppelbock. Very balanced. Full of flavour and super süffig at the same time. One of my alltime favourites.
