A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

Vom Flasche. Super pale yella. Hay, bread, grassy. Mildly sweet, big malty helles. Very little bitterness on the finish, as expected. Would be nice with some sausages and canbage, but itll do on its own as well.

Tap@: pours golden, slightly clear, with tan white head. Aroma-flavour: white bread, biscuit like malt character, supported with grassy, floral hop notes. Moderate medium body, soft texture, moderate carbonation.

500 ml from bottle, served in mug. Bright golden colour, medium head. Grain, citrus, bread. Taste fresh like from the tap, slightly bitter and floral, hoppy taste. Lively carbonated, thin body. Nice palate. Creamy texture. This is a very nice Helles.

vinivini (2209) - Gomel, BELARUS - APR 9, 2017
Clear gold, big white head. Stays. Bready aroma. Spicy hops as well in there. Light to medium body. Dryish flavour where bready malts and noble hops play well together. Light bitterness. Decent.

Ar: Hay and slightly tannic, cracker malt; some rose, grass, and peppery noble hops. Ap: Crystal-clear pale gold; medium white head with good retention, leaving a soft, silky cap of foam with small and medium-small bubbles and fine trail of lacing on the glass sides. T: Crisp crackers, slight sulfur, and chalk up front; pepper and lemon hop flavor; medium-low bitterness, very smooth; crackers and moss on the finish; extremely clean fermentation profile throughout; eminently crisp. P: Light body with high carbonation; finish is very dry. O: Very well-made lager, with great light malt flavor and lots of beautiful noble hop aroma and flavor; crisp and extremely refreshing--brisk even--with great minerality; quenching, quaffable, and packed with excellent flavor.

500ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Clear light golden colour; Explosive three and a half finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 4 minutes; Good sticky lacing with active and fizzy slow carbonation; Very fragrant aroma of bready malt, with cookies, honey, strong floral, sugar, bread, lemon and strong grass; Medium sweet taste of malt, with honey, light cookies, strong floral, light sugar, herbs, spices, bread, lemon, fair bitter hops and grass; Close to medium body. Slick palate; Mouth feel is good Pils maltyness in a solid and clean background, with good touches of honey and cookies. Very flowery with fair sweetness. Strong herbal and spicy with lemon to round. Neat and nice!... Hoppiness is strong floral, lemon and strong grass in nose, same in taste plus herbs and light spice. Bitterness is fair for a lasting, medium astringent honey malty finish; Fairly dry after taste. Flowery and herbal bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is bright and clean with good looks and head, nice typical cookie malty aroma, strong floral hoppiness with strong herbs and spice. Sunny and refreshing, it lightens up my mood after a long hard day. Yes!

degbert (1772) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 11, 2017
Bottle. Pours a yellow-green with a high, pillowy, lacy, white head. Nose is, frankly, not much -- a little turbinado sugar, a little tropical fruit, a little toast. On the palate, it’s bitter and a little saccharine and not much else. Eminently forgettable; stick to their doppelbock. I have trouble believing it’s the same brewery.
