A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

Pours crystal clear. Kind of looks like yellow water and the taste confirms the suspicion. Average.

500mL bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is grass, cereal, grain, yeast, and a small amount of honey. Taste is sweet; corn, grain, grass, yeast, cereal, some honey, and bread. Light body. Medium carbonation. Crisp and smooth mouthfeel - a little on the thin side and has a slight oiliness, but otherwise solid.

Solid for its kind, but unremarkable overall. The appearance is a yellowy pee clear and the smell is a slightly skunky clean grassy muck. The taste is a mild syrupy corn and grass mishmash that is relatively smooth and seems like it would pair well with some heavy grub. Good for cooling off after a long foot journey to obtain better beers than this one while binging on wrestling in the absence of the one you love.

Great light German beer. Very refreshing. Starts of with lots of flavor for a light beer and finishes smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At the source, 16/07/17. Clear pale golden with a decent white head that retains well. Nose is pale malts, cereals, light citric notes, caramel, light bread. Taste comprises pale malts, vanilla, light fruit esters, toasted grains, bready notes. Medium bodied, fine to gentle spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for the style.

Scipio (1181) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2017
Pours a thin golden with a bubbly white head that recedes very quickly. The aroma is subdued. It has grassy hops, bread, cereal, corn, and grain. The taste has some initial sweetness to it. I find a faint bitterness as well. Flavors are well balanced between honey, cereal, bread, and grass, with some lesser grain, and hints of banana. Short honey finish. Light in body, thin in texture, and average carbonation. This one goes down smooth and easy. Unspectacular, although I would have no problems at all drinking this again.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2017
Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with an enormous soapy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and yeasty with a touch of grass and grape. The flavor was tangy and grainy with faint notes of grape, grass and hay. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 4A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 02/02/17). AROMA: medium-low malt aroma with slight honey notes. faint cardboard. APPEARANCE: light yellow to yellow color and clear. medium-low white head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low malt flavor with a slight honey-sweet character. no perceptible hop notes. faint cardboard notes. medium-low bitterness with a slightly bitter and somewhat malty finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an average munich helles-type beer with still good charactristics despite its already past due its best before date.

Golden. Thin head. Nice pale malt nose, really bready. Soft body, nice light character, mellow bready malts. Decent.

Cristobal37 (1200) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 14, 2017
Vom Flasche. Super pale yella. Hay, bread, grassy. Mildly sweet, big malty helles. Very little bitterness on the finish, as expected. Would be nice with some sausages and canbage, but itll do on its own as well.
